On the way to the grocery store yesterday I blew a tranny in my parents jeep. It started makin weird noises and growls and then all of a sudden it blew.
I've never blown a tranny before and im not sure what to do now. I dont want my parents to find out we just got this jeep.
What should I do? Has anyone else blown a tranny before?

And in my line of work this haoppend now and then but not often. I might as well say KEEP IT A DAMN SECRET GOD WHATS UR PROBLEM.

OH~! A Tranny, as in cars. Was going to post that you had some issues. but anyways nah, Never blown a tranny (as in the car, nor as in the he.she.)

lol i first thought of the title of this thread as something totally different. Why don't you get someone you know whos good with cars to look at it. Does it still run fine, whats exactly wrong with it?

Manual or automatic? If its a manual, best bet is to buy a new one, if an automatic, try and find a wrecked one, and buy it off the salvage yard or junk yard. reason why is if its a manual, more than likely it has been ground down a bit, and will more than likely need replaced pretty soon. and if its an auto, they dont really grind, unless there was a problem with the tranny being built, but it should of been fixed before being sold...

you mentioned you just got it. don't you have a warrenty? can't you take it to the place you bought it and ask them to fix it?
