Guide to a MF Light Sorc

This guide is written by Invisible so dont take any credit for it cuz its written by me. this guide is not for duels its strickly for mfing

SKILLS:
Max these in order,
Lightning
Mastery
Chain lightning
Charged bolt
Nova.
Add one into these skills as soon as you can preferably by level.
Frozen armor,Energy shield, Teleport, Warmth, Thunderstorm.

ITEMS:
Armor: well you really have 3 choices. best one i would do is CoH, then you can use a Enigma ( since it has nice mf) and last choice would be tal armor.( if you are going to use the tal rasha combo you need belt amulet along with armor)
Wep: 2 choices, Hoto ( use this if you are going to use enigma) and occy ( use for the tal rasha combo), you can use any of these if you are going with coh your choice really
Shield: Spirit monarch
Helm: p topazed shako
Amulet: tal rasha amulet, or maras, or any other rare amulet
Rings: well you can use 2sojs if your rich, 2 p nags, or 2 res cast rings.
Boots: War Travs
Gloves: Mages or chancies( use mages )
Belt: arach or if you are going to use tal armor tal amulet you need Tal belt for that extra mf combo
On Switch: Any Cta with any spirit shield
STATS:
Strenth: this will be a very low number. if you are going to use Enigma you wont need as much, but remember you need a torch. if you cant offord a sorc torch get any torch to help with res and stats. But yes just get enough to use items ( dont use stats till lvl 75 )
Dex: Zero
Mana: about 50-70 in here
Vit:rest
MERC:
this is important, you need a normal mode combat merc( this gives the aura prayer )
Armor: Eth Fort/ or if you are not so rich you can put gaurdian angle on or any armor with high def doesnt matter.. but fort will make merc live.
Wep: insight not infinity because no bosses are immune to light and you need mana regen when you get attacked.
Helm: Andy helm. nothing else but andy if you need one i can give u a pul for it.
STRATAGY:
Vs Countess:
ok this is simple countess is weak she is never light immune just tele there and own with chain light/ lightning.
Vs Andy. now this can get a little frustrating if you dont have a good merc. tele to andy.. make sure you clear out the minions first like people below her.. then stand as far away as you can but make sure you can hit her. and start blasting lightning when she comes tele away a little bit and repeat process. if you have a good merc that can take a punch just stand there and woop her ass.
Vs Summoner:
Simple tele in his face give him one lightning attack and he is dead.
Vs Durial: easy static him a few and tele and attack ( or if merc can take hits stand there and own )
Vs Trav
dont do it you will get owned with sucky items.
Vs Meph:
this can get a little frustrating. but you can do it basicly tele to meph . tele and static around him so you get half health down. then tele and light damage him ( you can tele in a cirlce :O ) but if your merc can take like 8 hits ( heal him a lot he needs potions) then you can stand there and blast him
Vs Shenk :
so easy just get infront of his little place and chain light it a few times then use normal lightning to clean it up
Vs: Elditch

i doubt the average starter mf'er would be able to afford coh, 2x sojs, arachs, hoto let alone an eth fort for their merc. i would also add infinity on there because it pretty much lets you kill anything in hell with a light sorc

but still, a pretty decent guide, gj

nono i never said this is for starters! ... a person wanted to make a NEW mf sorc.. so he must have gear from old one correct? plus i said subs for items like expensive and cheap so its all good thx guys for those who liked my guide

and for infinity .. well there are no bosses immune to lightning? i mean you should get it if you want to do something else with the lite sorc but i would use insight to mf

pump some into warmth and make sure u have alot of mana and you wont need insight.. infinity jst owns the **** out of any monster in the game.. its a must have for a light sorc..

Nice guide but incomplete.I dont see the real mf sorc.This is the real one.Take oute the hoto or occu and wear a 2x isted ali baba.No eni or coh wear a tal rashas armor or even better a skulders armor.Do not wear magefist wear chancies 40.Also wear some mf chars and gheeds.

infinity increases ur damage by like 5x, and much more important than regeneration

i kill meph in 2-3 hits with a 16k lightning (after static) instead of 7 hits without

infinity allows you to do chaos runs, baal runs, and nithlak runs, andy runs, and pit runs without any restance

making the light sorc the most versatile sorc

CoH can be made in any 4 socket armor, so the str depends exntirely on what type of armor the runeword is made in.. so u probly have or have seen one with very high str..

yea sorry that was a dumb question. i've been palying a lot more now and i think im getting used to how things work again. is there a chepaer belt besides arach? and not tals cuz im not using tals armor anymore i got an enigma ^^

In place of arachs, you can go goldwrap which is a dirt cheap belt that offers some MF.

Ok so i've been playing this MF sorc that invicible built, and i get around

5-19k dmg

i can key run at countess and summoner, but nith scres me over cuz of resist.

Norm cows is a peice of cake, my chain lightning can usually take care a group of them

Nm cows, about 2-3 shots of chain lightning, cuz the range of my attack is 5-8762 dmg (soemthing like that)

Hell cows, is a lot harder, but very possible

I think if u have good set-up, anything is possible just not the light resistances, which leads to my next questtion

I'm lvl 85

im thinking about getting a point in Frozen Orb, which would take 6 skill points, and i'd be lvl 91 by then. is this a good choice? or should i max out nova.

cuz im having huge difficulties whenever a lightning resitant monster comes up, because i can't afford the expensive gear for the merc

Sorry, but it's not worth putting just a point into frozen orb; you will not be able to effectively kill them because it will just take too long. If you come up across a light immune creature, just ignore it and go on. Just keep on working on your synergies and build up your lite dmg.

yeah try to get a Infinity this wil solve the light immune problem and the orb will do abuot 200 damage.. very useless not even 200.. so just biuld up the light sorc and get infinity asap this will help you with immunes
