i hate when people are racist against jews for no reason, and muslims just because of muslim radicalism. i am jewish and one of my best friends is muslim. so i dont see why people cant get along if we can

i hate religous racism because religion is a lie. yeah look at crusades, killed so many people over different religions. Although religios racism has more depth than regular racism, as it has to do with the person's faith and that maybe another religion goes against their god/religion so that's why we have things like Islamic fundamentalists.

Man this topic has been on my mind for weeks, Im Catholic (Irish) and my fiance is Jewish and we dont give a sh** but are families are so damn stubborn, and both sides won't stop whining about how we plan to do things. Its the same god damn religion (+/- jesus). Have you ever been to both services... the prayers are almost identical, the responses of the congregation are only worded slightly different, and the word god/g-d/yaweh (sp?) has been replaced by jesus about 70% of the time. (and if they are one in the same person....) Also I cant stand how christian religions manipulated the jewish faith to make it fit their 'rendition'. Like the friggin commandments... the entire religion is based on the ten commandments, which both christian and jewish faiths believe were given to moses by God, and yet they are not the same commandments

So because catholics wanted to break #2 and have jesus on a cross, we just deleted that one and split the jewish #10 into 2 (catholic 9 and 10).

Religion is the invention of a crazy bunch of old men, possibly drinking in the local tavern. It had its place in history to satisfy the masses, but its usefulness in modern society is questionable. The stubborness of religious institutions to modernize and change old tradtions does not help their position. If the bible were written by an infallible perfect all knowing god, why does it reflect the sentiments of men of the day including the preconceived misconceptions, racism, and sexism. If there is a God I would highly doubt he hates gay people, looks down upon women, ever believed the world was flat or that the sun revolved around us. Religion takes something thats almost an innate feeling, FAITH, and manipulates and twists the sh$% out of it to fit whatever the writers desire, whether its to make the catholic church a power to rival Kings in both wealth and military might or to simply change a rule or two for your personal conveience (*cough Anglican*). What a damn fantastic business model, bill gates would be so proud... The catholic church writes into their religion heaven, this place of fantastic splendor, (much better that the life of a serf) and all you have to do to get to your destination of eternal bliss is to live a life (maybe 30 years tops) of back breaking labor and servitude while being a good member of the catholic church and maybe donating some of the very little earthly possessions you have, (so the church leaders can become a rich super power of course). All you get in return is a promise they can't possibly follow through on and yet no one will ever know, they are selling no product for your received payment - way to max profits and minimize expenses. ok enough ranting ... sorry

I myself am an athiest, i don't believe in religion therefore i do not care what religion people come from, or what there beliefs are, untill they start coming to my uncles front door and start yelling into my face about how god will return and a bunch of crap like that, and when when i'm about to make a comment that would have shut them up, my parents come up from behind and pull me away slamming the door. *this is when i was in minnesota* My parents pretend do be catholic.
