what the best merc

Hi whats the best merc and weapon to go with it I got Act 5 barb he has stone armor but I am not sure what weapon to use if anyone of the other ones are better please let me know

Well...It usually varies with whatever character / build you have. Each build has a specific mercenary that would be more appropriate for gameplay. For what kind of character are you using?

Hmm....Well...You could use Vamp gaze as helm...probably an eth doom cryptic axe...and I guess Fort, or Stone if you want. I used that on my blizz sorc, and she ripped shit apart on PVM and PVP.

use an eth infinity on an act2 holy freeze merc, with fortitude and andy's visage.
the negative cold dmg from doom DOES NOT affect ur sorc's dmg

Oh shit, my bad. I didnt know it had no effect. So then, what would doom be useful for...on which merc?

doom isn't that great of a runeword for polearm's nowadays with ebotd/insight/infinity dominating that catagory

i think doom would be best on meele characters (doom beserker axe), maybe against casters
on merc, i say if u got one, why not use it. but if u don't and are considering buying one, i wouldn't recommend doing that

i got an eth upgraded toothrow armor on my act2 merc because it gives a 40% open wounds along with +15 strength and nice defense. weapon is eth infinity cv and helm is andy's
