My Mafia Run-in
#1
Ok, all this crap went down last night. I'm at work right now blurry-eyed from getting like two hours of sleep, but this is how it goes.. I am seriously not making any of this up.

I get home, watch some TV, do some chores, etc. Before you know it its midnight and i'm reading a book before I go to bed, when my roomate and his new girlfriend (who just moved in after knowing him 2 weeks) poke their heads in my door and say they are going to a bar and invite me along.

Sure, why not.

Well, come to realize that this bar isn't open on Thursdays, yet her dad owns it, and the drinks are free! Kickass. Before we can go in there we have to meet up with her dad, who is hanging out at a nearby bar (a short walk away), The Balcony. The Balcony happens to be Boise's gay bar. Anyways, I guess alot of straight people hang there, but it's dominatnly gay and waited uncomfortably while Tad BS'd with his girlfriend's father.

Her dad is drunk, slurring, rambling. Then I sorta realize that he's slipping bits of italian in with his normal speech, and I try to be polite, nod smile etc and keep to myself and try not to look like a retard. Anyways, he eventually gives up the keys to his daughter and me and her waltz over and slip into the empty bar.

Tad (my roomie) got stopped by this guy who was hanging out with her dad, who casually told me and Justina (Tad's GF) to go ahead, becuase they were going to have a talk about family.

Er, ok. Around this time I start getting this rather disturbing mafia feeling about Justina's crowd. I jokingly mentioned it to her on the way to her father's bar, to which she said "Yeah, lets not talk about that."

Yikes. Anyways we have a few drinks and Tad comes back with some other dude, and we kick back a couple. Someone gets the bright idea to invite her dad back over, who is mind you still at the gay bar. He's completely drunk now, and it quickly deteriorates from there.

He tells Me, Tad, and Cody (the other dude) to get lost while he talks with Justina, so we do, but I can hear him and he's urging his daughter to dump Tad because he's a deadbeat (I won't deny that). This of course really upsets her, and to top it off he starts adding a money inscentive (I think he said $1000 and a new car) to get rid of Tad. She storms off in tears, he tells tad to get his ass over there.

LeeRoy (justina's dad) offers Tad $5000 to dump her. Tad, still drunk, declines, saying some tacky bullshit like money cant buy love away. I would have pounced on the opportunity!!!! LeeRoy yells at the other guy, Cody, who I guess is like his assistant to go in the back of his bar, to the safe, and get a blank check.

LeeRoy signs it, and he starts offering tad 10,000. 10,000 turns into 20,000. He finally writes down 50,000 on the check and passes it to tad, where tad... retard.. Takes the check, rips it in half, and throws it back at LeeRoy. LeeRoy goes bezerk. He starts making threats, he starts saying he'll make Tad's life miserable, he'll **** up his parent's life and his kid's life.

Right about this time I was walking quickly to the exit. Well, remember that guy that tad had a 'Faimly talk' with? He's standing right next to the door when I step out. Picture your typical heft-handed mafia goon, that's exactly what he looks like, suit and all.

I swallow the lump in my throat and take off to the parking garage, where Tad's girlfriend is there sobbing etc. A couple minutes later Tad is literally running to the car. Holy shit! He throws the keys to me (i'm still mostly sober) and we all pile into the car.

I high-tail it out of the parking garage, and I see that Mafia-grunt getting into a lincoln on the floor below us. SHIT What the hell did you say, Tad? I book it out of downtown, and notice that someone is following us, and guess who it is.

He follows us all the way back to where I live outside of town ( a good 25 minute drive )

We make it back to my house and we get out, and he creeps by in the lincoln, I guess getting the address where Tad lives. ****. He scoots off, and I stumble into bed at about 4:00 a.m.

Anyways, I'm kinda freaked out. I moved my pistol from my closet to beneath my pillow.

Lol, That sucks. I know mafia guys...Well Old Old guys (in there 70's by now) that still run the bakery's and shit. Listen, Here's some advice, I suggest you find out who was the person, trying to start everything with you, meet him personally, like a 1 on 1 conversation, and just give your apologie's, and owe him whatever is needed. Because sooner or later...Bad thing's will happen. Just my knowledge.

Ditto. I would have done it for the 5k. Then again I'm not sure how to feel about taking money from the mob-types

Regardless, Tad is a retard, and he'll feel like twice the retard when Justina realizes what a jerkoff he is and dumps him instead.

Anyways, I was able to come out of it with a few free drinks and a good story. Street, I don't think I'm in any danger, but Tad.. He seems like a lightening rod for that kinda crap.

idk though...on second thought...if he was offering that much money, i might try to see how high he would go...of course, while trying not to piss him off..

50 k was it. That was the amount he wrote in on the check before Tad ripped it up. Watching him tear up that piece of paper was like watching someone wreck a porsche. Sure, it's not mine, but all that money down the tubes..

What I am honestly wondering is how many of you would have cashed this check you guys were so desperately wanting to get yourself.

Huge e-pnz's in this thread. You're all lying; if a Mafia man with 50k wants you to leave his daughter is on your ass, you wouldn't take it. You would dump her and tell him he'd never see you again.

why wouldnt i take it clint? if i was in this tad guys spot, why would the mafia dude offer me money if he was going to do something to me? why not just do it? i'd feel safe enough taking the money.

Bear in mind LeeRoy was drunk the entire time, and when we brieftly talked at the gay bar (eugh..) he kept telling me what a good kid Tad was. Once we got back to the bar he owned he did a 180 and hated the kid.

He could be tied in with these people, he could be just blowing smoke up our asses to make himself look like a bigshot.

that would be funny if it was all just a setup by the girl and her father to get tad to break up with her and there was actually no mafia presence

You've never been dumped have you?

It usually ends one of two ways

"Lets just be frends"

Or in a huge ****ing arguement.

dont forget, "i think we need to talk..." and "i need some time to "find myself"". oh and of course theres, "its not you its me"

in all fairness, it is hard to tell someone that likes you that you dont like them and to leave you alone...without hurting their feelings...i guess girls think these "lines" actually do that, but they dont

50k.......... if i was a douche bag like the way you describe your room mate... i would of taken the money instantly. but if it was really me in that situation, i would of been terrified of that check. i don't think he'd just give me 50k then forget me. you know what i mean? My luck he'd call me up two weeks later wanting me to take out a few folks. then what?! tell him no?? bad situation.
