that was just stupid. the fact is blizzard doesn't hate diablo2, they just have the obligation to do the servers for people because if they turned off the diablo2 servers so many people would fall in a hate with blizzard that people would quit playing blizzard games all together. also, i'm sure they make money from sponsors, or atleast keep their stuff up from sponsors in the game so they don't have to actually pay anything.


ANYWAYS diablo2 won't get most of this stuff in the next patch, because of the fact that that would make it an entirely new game. if they were going to do that they would make a new disk/name for the game. I would think that the guy who told your friend this is a bullshitter, but you know I can't really deny blizzard of anything.
FINANCIALLY this would be dumb as hell for blizzard to do, to put that much work in a game then give it away for free? Purely stupid. they could sell an expansion to diablo2, that i would buy, even though i don't play anymore. I would only pay up to 25$ though.

I just went to battle.net and it's pretty interesting that at the very top of the page there is a banner for some kind of stupid Diablo book. Why do they bother with such garbage if they could just put the time into developing something new for the game.

if they made a patch like that it would take as long if not longer than FFXI's patchs which take about 3-7 hours on average.....and u cant have a new char class in a patch, they would have to do it in another cd which would mean another expansion, they mite b able to pull off only having another char and better items but i highly doubt they will, they care more about WoW then d2 now

besides if you go to blizzard.com and look and current productions you'll see wow and wow burning crusades nowhere unfortunately is there mention of d2... or d3 for that matter...

give d3 6 more years, d2 came out in '97 or '98, it has only been 8 or 9 years.

BUT JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW MY ENTHUSIASM ON THIS, IF THERE WERE A MMORPG WITH AN ITEM BASE AND A D2 ENVIROMENT I WOULD NEVER GET OFF THE COMPUTER, for atleast 3 months... which would actually kind of suck because then i would get fatter and lose the only partial life that I have.
