Best Sorc for Starting?

your not getting this,... you arent newb,... you have items.. he is starting FRESh so his orb will be weak slow of cast and he will have all sorts of problems.. ya know.. but w/e go pure orb listen to them but when you wunna mf and you cant kill shit without dieng youll remake a new sorc thats usefull... still think you should get a lite sorc

any of you who think you should make a lite sorc if you are starting are dumb. THEY SUCK without good gear. i once made a newb lite sorc, level 80 and couldnt even do countess runs. whereas with a newb orber i could do meph runs at level 70

what blood says is true invis without proper gear a light sorc is a meat shield, and requires a pretty high level to be maxed, whereas a orb sorc, u ca start ur mfing at around lvl 60-65

i say blizzard because if you start out fresh neither orb nor lightning will do enough damage, especialy lightning. and to get your first few items it should be off meph and blizz is the way to go to kill meph. but you must use the moat trick. until you get some fcr items plus skills then you can go for orb to kill because its so much more efficient. so you start of fresh with blizz sorc. then enough gear for orb. then godly with light. IMO!!! FTW!!111 lol =]

also. when blood and some more people said if the actuall orb hits. i heard it does the damage of one orb times the number of orbs, not sure if this is true. but i know it does ALOT more damage, so yep orb is best. and if u find if its not the best, remake a diff sorc.

don't be an orb or a lightning sorceress. orb sorces r weak and not that great. lightning sorceresses can do a lot or a little of dmg and aren't good for noobs.:p

If you plan on doing mf runs I don't think orb is that great when you don't have any gear. You must put yourself at risk of the spells bosses cast in order to land a decent orb. If you want to do Andy runs I have noticed that Meteor does exceptionally well against her and she drops really fast. Meteor and blizzard are useful against Meph if you get him stuck in the moat.

Personally I would either get meteor maxed with max static or go meteor/blizzard combo. This would be a good starting MF character that doesnt have to put itself at risk to kill the bosses.

well i've always liked blizz better but thats just me. if an orber can bot ok/well, then go with orb. if not use blizz. because you can be botting 10+ hours a day(sleep+out of house) while you mf a lot less. so go with the char that bots the best. but when your rich(or richer), switch to a lite sorc. they can key and are just all around a lot better(and can duel xD).

When i was new, i started with a blizz sorc. then i switch to a lite sorc and put my blizz gear on the lite sorc(i was really poor) then through keying(keying>mfing anyday in my book) i turning my crappy blizz gear into awesome lite sorc gear. getting rich requires massive amounts of repeditive mfing/botting/keying. and just some luck thrown in.

yeah this is a little late but go for orb all the way if ur starteing out all u need to do is tele around and attack it might take a while to kill at first but itll be ok once you get good gear...

yeah i would make an orber, max orb,ice bolt, ice blast, and blizz, put a point into warmth for all ur +skill items, then put all remaining points into cold mastery btw what does IMO mean

Agreed. I've attempted Light Blizz Fire and Orb as starting characters in a new ladder. None has been as affective as Blizz sorc for me.
