You said it yourself, lightning has a CHANCE to do high damage. Lightning is very slow, so you need to 210 FCR BP, which will make your max damage around 25k, which is a fire sorcs max damage. BUT, fire goes shoots a lot faster, + the firebolts/balls fly faster and lightning's minimum damage will be around 4, with fire going at around 20k

i have to agree with blood on this one. i personally have a light sorc, fully equiped(for nl) and i can say fire is better. they shoot more fireballs so better chance to hit. and in caster vs caster what does it matter if you do 45k light dmg or 25k fireball dmg, i hit kill anyways. and fireball always kills where lightning has the chance not to kill and do 7dmg. but have super ts has won me some duels too though. lightning is so much more fun in pvm though lol.
