Looking for a program...

Hi,

I'm looking for a freeware program that can do the following:

Copy a DVD that i put in the disk drive into another type of video file and save it on my hard drive. Common video types work fine.

The reason I want this is so that i can take DVD's, convert to another video file. From there i have another program which can convert it to an MP4 format for my iPod.

Sorry, it's late and i can barely think... If you could find a program for this that would be great....

Well...try going to www.doom9.org ...and when I used to rip dvd's....I think I used "SmartRipper 2.41", (to rip dvd's) and it would save the Vob files unencrypted. Then I think I used FlaskMpeg to convert them to Mpeg's or Avi's. Im pretty sure you were able to save in MP4 format, as well as divx and xvid format's

OK, Sweet! ill look into those 2 programs and see if it works. Thanks for the help. Ill let you know if i get it working.

I use nero and it works wonders, if those 2 programs dont work out try ahead nero
