Diablo 2 is so predictable. There is Frozen Orb, Blessed Hammer, and Grief phase blades. Or maybe not? Median 2007 replaces all skills and all items, offering 30 new skills per class and the now famous tiered item system.




The skills on offer range from the mundane (an arrow that splits in two on striking, which split in two on striking, which...) to the slightly more unusual (area effect damage based on how much mana you have lost) to the outright weird (a floating mine that blasts out a flurry of throwing axes when stepped on). Needless to say, the monsters also have access to some of those skills and will gladly use them against you.




The tiered item system from Median 2006 remains the same, but the item stats have been rebalanced again, many cube recipes added to create powerful elixirs and rare items, and there are now exactly 275 runewords as of the 1.24 T patch.

When he says that he means version 1.23 is out; you can get the latest version (which is not v1.23 by still going to the last link I have listed in my post and going to the "Download it" link once you're on his page.

I'll try out the new version maybe tomorrow Laz; who knows with 120 new uniques maybe I'll actually find a unique and not just 'Unused breast plates' or whatever.

Cool good to see you enjoy it, Orange; my character is now a 29 bow zon and just grabbed the River of Flame wp the other day before taking a break; I utilize mostly skills that involve spewing multiple arrows (along with Catharsis for tanking if needed for its dr% and res+). I think most of her socketable gear (which for everyone is like all wearable gear but jewelry) are all runewords (very nice; many of the lower runewords are simple like as easy as el-el or eld-nef).

Oh nice im facing Andy atm. I am a bow barb at level 15 right now. Im basically using Catharis and Legion to kill lol. I also have fire cascade to kill enemy's around me and for the knockback and what not. I upgraded to the new vers and as soon as i got on i found "Eagal Spirit Flying Knife" It adds 1 to Barb skills and some other mods. All the Blood Rouges near andy cast celerity and own me hard. lol

Its normal drops. Alot harder game play. New skills new runewords and whatnot. Found 1 unqiue so far lol. I couldbt beat den until lvl 6 lmao and i still had trouble

Btw, there is currently one bugged unique: the tier 1 version of the unique bardiche, Earthbind, somehow has a required level of 54 instead of 1. Ignore it or upgrade it to tier 2, which correctly gives it a level requirement of 8. Not worth releasing a whole new patch for this one item.

Actually, the drops aren't 'normal' as in 'the same as in regular LoD'. The differences are just a lot more subtle than in a drop hack. For example, you are more likely to get staves and high runes, less likely to get bows, and the chance to get rare items is slightly up as well (and the rares themselves are more likely to have good stats).

I meant like you normal as in uniques dont drop from every monster you kill. I got tired of my Barb and went with a bowzon. Much more effective but i dont know what to max and what skills are usless. lol

What is a secret Jewel Bonus? I put a jewel into gray 1 sock glove and got this: Jewel was 5 Dex 18 Life

Yeh, it's not much be just with some of the jewels when placed in a 1os item they'll gain those stats plus some extra ones (I think it seems to be most jewels, or at least like if it has +stats on it it'll get +5 all stats, req -10%, and the stats on the jewel). As you start getting into the runewords you'll probably start to leave these secret jewel bonuses behind and not use them as much anymore, but it's nice for starting out.

Btw, I just finished saving Anya with my bowazon; level 33. The boss guarding her, "An Evil Force" (that's it's name, hehe) was quite difficult for me with his thorn traps or whatever that kind of character uses. It's not that he was all that hard when I finally killed him, but if you die once and keep on trying to save your bod, he killed me in about 3 quick hits everytime until I just filled up my char with a bunch of random armor and ran in the other direction, thus getting him away from the tp so I could get my body in the opposite direction.

Yeah my zon is now lvl 20 and has beaten Sewers in A2. I had a lot of trouble killing andy doing only 86 max damage lol. I lured her to a wall and used Ghost Arrow to shoot threw the walls and i killed her. Then in a2 i got a Shapeshifter merc and now he tanks/kills andy all on his own

This sounds interesting. Is it system intensive?

I have a crappy computer and I suffer from frame lag when the screen gets very busy (you know, baal games with a bunch of orb/meteor/hdin/necro)

Do you need it to be 3d accelerated?
