Shut up, Cheese.

Um. Is it scratched to shit? Or is it just not working? Most CD-R's have a life of about 4 years, if I remember correctly.

it could be that it burned out (died) or the connections got loose and the system isnt detecting it. Shut down the system, check the connecitons then boot back up. if its still not showing, check in device manager. it might require a system restore unless its that nasty worm thats been disabling task manager, ie explorer/firefox and roms.

i fixed it, just a simple restart. Let this be a lesson to all, when a comp is not in use or downloading something, shut it down, let it rest, let it sit down somewhere, it'll do it a world of good, child...

i was meaning for this to be attached to my post above, but i as distracted by responsibilities, my bad
