Yeah ladder is basically blizz's thing to keep hacks and dupes and what not out...so they eye that out really closely...and as for closed, it is no where near the amount of hacking as open...many people still get busted for using hacks on closed...but its just not as prevalent as is in ladder...so hack at ur own risk

many of the avenues for detecting bots is the same as valve uses for counterstrike. they can give your computer a situation knowing how the bot will handle it and if the response is right BUSTED. This of course is very simplified, but that's how some bots get busted. New one's are always better. The other thing is play time. If you play 90 hours/week you are going to get a close look as well as a 36 hour run without leaving. These will help you not draw attention to your account.
One thing that I heard from a friend is that Battle.net uses bots to scan for foreign AI signatures, like pindle bot

Any hack is detectable if searched for.
There is one hack that is undectable (well... I think it is) It's a maphack by mouse pad inc, It's the same type of file as the regular one for your maps, What blizzard scans for are DIFFERENT File types that are that are not supposed to be there

Yeah, but if they _really_ want to poke you out. They can.
