Sorry, I've been confused for a while about this. How exactly do you get Ladder runewords onto Non-Ladder?

when you are on ladder and you make a LADDEr runeword.. once ladder resets that runeword goes to NONLADDER

As you know ladder resets every so often. (roughly about once every 1-2 years) When ladder resets it takes all of your ladder characters and makes them non-ladder. So, all of the items that you had on your ladder character get transfered over to non-ladder.
