How much does orb do compared to individual shards

How much damage does the actual orb do if it hits compared to the individual shards it shoots out?

not sure what u mean but if u mean that orb thingy in the middle it does about 2 or 3 times the dmg *if u actually get a clean hit* as the spikes

ok lets say your orb does 500 dmg.. that means each shard does 500 damage if you nail the orb right at someone( the cirlce part of it) 50% of the shards will hit him.. so thats like 2k dmg right there if you nail him in middle

It's hard to say. Orb works in mysterious ways.

It's quite difficult to put a damage value on Orb, what with all the shards in addition to the -resists that mastery provides. Most people believe that a completely leveled with +full gear and skillers can do up to 4k on a direct hit.

you can figure it out it all takes some math.. how many shards are there in a orb? my old orber did 1.1k around there plus mastery and the number of shards hit... so yeah just do math

how the hell are u supposed to figure out how many shards hit the player as the orb passes through him? if u really wanna know the dmg of an orb, orb one of ur friends :S

but thats on ONE char there are dif chars with dodge aviod sorb and stuff just estimate on how many shards hit
