Stats changes on items

ok i was playing d2 just messing around i got some free hrs from a friend to get a cta and a anni.. so i did then i had really bad lag so i left game... the cta i bought for 3 hr was a 3 bo and then when i made a new game i had 4/4/4/ but old one was 3/3/3
then about my anni i had a realy high one ( atleast for the amount of hrs i had) 17/13/5 now my anni is 13/13/5 T_T what happend? is that even possible to get stats changes on items becuase of lag or maybe it was something else? has this happend to anyone else before?

no sorry i've never heard of stats changing on anything but charms and thats only when you re-roll them.

Maybe they used a trade hack when you traded... Like switch the item with something else... But i dont think so...

well back in 1.10, sometimes it showed different stats to different people.(most commonly on cta's)
i.e. it shows a 3/4/2 cta to one person, and it's really a 4/2/1.

I remember what you are talking about with the ctas, but that only applied to barbs. Barbs could not have over a 3bo cta, and so for ctas, a barb could not even see higher than a 3bo. Even if it was 6bo the barb would still see only a 3bo.

Me thinks that someone is either playing a trick or was the victim of trade hack.

and why would he switch his 3/3/3 cta with a 4/4/4 -.- i think its more of the barb thing

on my anni stats were like this.. i could of swore they were 17/13/5 ( becuase i cant use items not since it was ON 17) not myb anni is 13/17/5 so i need 5 strenth to use items.. and the cta is explanable i had a barb lol

Not relating to anni's or cta's but...
I was doing key runs for the first time a few days ago and I really didn't know which person gave WHICH key. I knew WHO to run though. So I was running and in the FIRST TWO runs, I found a Hate Key off Countess(LUCKY!!). But the lucky part isn't the point...Later I found an H key off nihlathak and I was like WTF? Then I asked around if its possible to get different keys off different people. Then I checked like 3 days after I found those keys, I saw they were terror. I'm PRETTY damn sure I saw H's from countess. But then again, I might have misread. Is it possible that it was an error in the game that made H's drop off Countess? Aside from that, is it possible that the possibility of getting keys goes down each run you do? The FIRST two runs I did with that Hdin, I found keys. But then I did runs for like 2-3 hours after and I didn't find anything. Bad luck or a math algorithm?

You just misread. Countess drops tkey, summoner drops hkey, and nihla drops dkey. That is how it is and there is no chance of you getting a different key than the one specified for each boss. Also there is no way for the items to suddenly change into something else.

There are two possibilities for the two similar stories, and I think the more credible one being human error. The game did not glich and drop hkeys from countess that suddenly changed to tkeys. Trust me...it isnt that smart. Most likelyy story is that you, my friend, are in need of a pair of reading glasses. Either that or common knowledge of the game enough to know what drops where.

As far as the cta/anni issue. I think that the barb-cta glitch was fixed with the release of v1.11. So again I believe your problem is that you can not read. You also might want to check into those reading glasses.

Excellent post. Unless someone where to literally hack into Blizzard and then know where the hell they were going to access the server side files on your character and change the items so they have worse stats...

Hell, they might as well have gotten your password from a password list at that amount of work. I think it was just human error, maybe you were tired.

I think you just misread it invisible the chances are if this happened to you then it probably would of happened to someone else and they would have posted on some type of forums.

Invis already said the cta was because he had a barb

Also the chances that this would happen is not likely


Also the drop system is not fool proof anything could drop of anything for example the original finder of unique mage gloves and then suddenly id's just to find it has the mods of a wizard spike. I guess it is possible for the Countess to drop anything but the chances are very very very very low...
