Anyone watch it this morning? It was the same news show they did 5 years back and it was minute by minutes same time. It was pretty weird watching it all go down again... It was funny though to listen to the annoucers talk especially when the first tower fell. He was talking then stopped for a moment and said something has fallen off the first tower.... Little did he know that it collapsed. Then they showed the Second plane hit the Tower then went to the Pentagon then back. They were saying that one more plane was hijacked and that this information was not to scare people but to inform them. They said that over and over and how this was live... I remember watching this in 01 and i was in awe.
Did anyone else see this?

I was sitting in 9th grade Algebra when it happened - the principal came over the loudspeaker and announced that a plane had hit the World Trade Center; after that all of the teachers turned on the tv, and we basically just watched the events unfold. I don't know how to describe the shock that I felt, especially after the second plane hit and when the towers began to fall. It was just....yeh.....unexplainable. I guess it was kinda like what previous generations felt when they heard about the news that JFK was shot; it's just something that seems so surreal you just can't believe it when you first see/hear about it.
I did not see the news at the exact time it happened today because I was sitting in my Comm class; we did, however, talk about it and our experiences with it for awhile in class.

I remember sitting in 6th grade math, and getting a call in class. The teacher told me to go down because my mom was picking me up, i didn't know what, until I saw her crying, and then she told me that 2 planes hit the trade center. I live only 30 miles away from the city, im very close, the smoke clouds from the smoltering debris just blanketed the sky. I was in awe, at the same time, couldn't imagine what was happening. I got home, and turned on CNN or Fox ( one of them ) , and realized nearly all my block (neighbors) were in my basement hysterical, I saw the clip of the second plane hit, it was just so heart pounding and gut dropping. This week, I saw the documentaries on msnbc, and I saw the one I think on discovery? Road to 9-11 ( something like that ) , and a very touching ( yes touching ) HBO documentary called "Telling Nicholas", about a father telling his 7 year old son his mother died, it was just so terrible to think what he was feeling, and then having all NY, all this country feel this way. I'm sorry if i went a little off topic, I just think that anyone who knew someone involved with that ( wether inside the buildings, or clean-up after) , should have recognition in my post. Never forget 9/11.
