Help me. It just randomly stopped opening. The exe is running whenever I open task manager. But it doesn't open the Firefox window. It's been bugging out lately but it finally did this. Virus? Unlikely, but possible. What do you think I should do?

sounds like a plugin issue. try getting fresh plugins.
If you are using a skin of some type for windows. I.E. windowblinds
unload the skin then try it. Some applications dont allow the use of their program if its a third party such as customizing your windows and using a third party table editor. Firefox also has conflicts with it. My labtop has a full blue setup skinned and all and it also cant use firefox but thats cause of the skin. It was fixed by removing all plugins and finding fresh ones to install while the skin is active.

None of those solutions work. I simply restarted my computer (had done it previously) and it, for some reason, worked.

If you ever get a box come up like "Firefox is currently running, close it off before opening a new one", ot the process is running but you can't open a new window, then you have to end the process in task manager.
I don't know why it wouldn't work for you..

you wouldn't try that before making the thread lol. i love when people always give you long though out complicated answers and over think it and the solution is simple.

If you could read it says, in parantheses, that I had done it previously.

lol figures that restarting works. the cache was probably full. set your firefox to clear private data when firefox closes and your cache will be fine. if you use your browsers history alot, uncheck the history part so you can manually clear it yourself by using ctrl+shift+delete

By any chance where you using Firefox 2.0 RC1? It has some serious memory issues still.
