oh and the cpu usage problem, im guessing it happens when u load a flash video embedded in some cpu consuming webpage like hi5? or something close?

well if u clearly said "explain that link" then i would and many others, glady.
anyway lets not get frustrated over nothing

so what it says is basicly firefox keeps a memory of the pages u visited, and it only gets rid of it after u close firefox (not just a tab) and keeps them for every tab u open as well.

now these guys say if u do this it will use up less memory. so here are the steps (of course i havent tried this but i guess it seems like a trustable source, so no worries)

1. type “about:config” (no quotes) in the adress bar and click enter
2. Find browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewer
3. set it’s value to “0″

and they continue on saying u can do something to make firefox use only 10mb of memory when its minimized

1. Open Firefox and go to the Address Bar. Type in about:config and then press Enter.
2.find config.trim_on_minimize
3. right click on it, and select toggle
4. restart firefox

so thats that.. i guess it cant hurt to try, if it works yay, otherwise boo

Heh my firefox only uses 17 megs when it's up.
1.8 when it's minimized.
