In the midst of all the bull that seems to impact our lives at the most inconvienent of times, we have always felt the need to get away from it all, to immerse ourselves in a world where killing is ok...
But then reality sets in... You have work to do, parents are misunderstanding and/or tyrannical, school has forcefed it's way back into the throat of your life. Especially in high school, damn need for extracurricallars.
SO, my question is above...^^

I am posting and not voting because there isnt an option for me in your poll. High school is nothing but an old almost forgotten memory for me but it was truely the greatest time in my life and even though it really doesn't apply here I would like to give a bit of advice to those of you that are still in school, (Go for it - take the chance - play the odds). Because if you dont you will spend the rest of your life wondering what might have happened. I was a chance taker and always went for it and sometimes good memories are all that I seem to have left now and they were worth all the embarressment, the jail time, the suppensions, and all the time spent grounded.
I get side tracked easy huh. Any ways back to the poll. I have played diablo since d1 in 97 or 98, cant remember for sure. I just remember that it said game of the year on the box. So I assume it had been out for a little while when I bought it. I picked up d1 for ps1 in about 99 i think and then went to d2 classic in 01 and xpac about a year after that. I have spent the better part of my adult life playing this game. just so every 1 knows its not that I lost all contact with the outside world after high school, well I guess I kinda did because I got married in 98 and have played diablo ever since then.
I have negelcted many aspects of my life just to play this game (work college wife kid). Its harder to quit than any drug I have ever encountered. I have enjoyed the time I spent playing but I now wish I would have spent my time more wisely. I guess what i am trying to say is play the game but dont get to wraped up in it. If you are setting in eng comp thinking about where you are going to get that ber rune to make another enigma instead of how you are going to get into that hot little blondes pants then I would say you need to slow down a bit and get your priorities in order.

Eh, well I'm in college now so that gives me lots of free time if I wanted to play Diablo 2. However, lately, I just havn't felt like trying anything new in D2 and it's gotten a bit boring for me (hence the last choice). I've been playing a couple (aka Eastern Sun and Median) of mods offline probably more than I have been playing on B.net just because it's something different from my repetitive style on B.net.

haha i like that answer. anyway i can balance it out pretty well. i just graduated high school in june and im taking a year off to work and save some money for university. as it is now, my schedule varies week to week...last week i just finished workin 8 days in a row at 8+ hours a day, but this week i only have 4 shifts, so i have plenty of free time. really the only time i play d2 is right before i go to bed or if my friend comes over and goes on another comp and we both play during the day for maybe an hour at most.

Pretty bored, but at the same time I make my own hours (mostly). So for the most part I can sit down and play some D2 whenever I want. Just for the escape from my normal busy lifestyle.
So I vote " Can perfectly balance work and play "

d2 is dead to me now, but when i first started playing, i had a pretty hard time balancing my priorities but i still always got my work done. I would spend 12hours on diablo and 2hours doing something else rather it be homework,g/f,car, etc but yeah some games really do take a great effect on a persons mind. I used to remember sitting in school counting down he hours till i get to go home and play d2. Its honestly really sad that a game had so much control on my life
