The Rasmus are very good. the Darkness is just an ugly bloke singing novelty rock. It'll wear off very soon. It's very cheesey and 80's which is half the reason all the old crap is being dragged back up to the surface. Some bands I like include: Funeral for a Friend, Thrice, HIM, Senses Fail, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, Something Corporate, APC, Bright Eyes and The Jealous Sound.

Ahhh thats sucks, I've never broken a single bone in my body, and I'd hope to do it in a cooler fashion than falling over dancing.... Maybe like fall off a building or something How the hell did you acheive that anyway?

connect_dubai Wrote:Thats a fair comment SolidStyle, however, IN MY OPINION, i think it takes a lot more talent to play a more traditional insturment and be in a band, that it does to compose beats on a computer. I mean, only a chosen few have enough coordination to play drums, yet anyone can click their mouse right? As a BIG fan of rock music (and not new crap like Nickleback, another flame war altogether, i'm into Iron Maiden and stuff), i believe that there is much more talent needed to make a band like this.
I'm new on the forum, props to whoever made it! Hm..When it comes to "pure" composing, it doesn't have anything to do with skills or what kind of instrument the sound is being produced on. That "someone" that played the drums you mentioned..Maybe he can play his drums like noone else can..But still, maybe he sucks at composing his music. There is only one place where music is created, inside our minds. You can't teach someone to compose original music, it are complete random series of thoughts which the body is able to play if that person is euphoric enough.
I could literally write a book about the essence of music, but I don't think I need to explain more...Unless this discussion continues that is ;>

Trance is okay in a club, but when people actually listen to it for pleasure it seems a little dumb.

Sorta... We got the best DJ in the world (DJ Tiesto)..And the most music played in general here is trance/drum n' bass/dance/hiphop/punkrock.

Ah thats true..... when i go to gym, trance is one of the best possible music genres to listen to. Actually, i dont have a choice, because thats what they play on the sound system at my gym, and I'd like stupid wearing earplugs

Of course...It's actually made for clubs/to dance on. Besides that, there are millions of people listening to Trance related music this very moment. It's just like any other kind of music, either you like it, or you don't.
