I'll start it off conciderng I wasn't able to find a thread like this.
I was about 8 when I first started to have night terrors. These are like sleep paralysis but instead of being paralysed you go into a state where your body and unconcious mind are awake but your concious mind are in active REM sleep. In thses night terrors you expirence dreams in reality and it is a very disturbing and difficult thing to get over.
The worst one was when I was about 13. It was a normal day played N64 at my friends messed around then came home had supper and so on. I went to sleep at about 10PM. 4 Hours later I awoke from an insane dream and needing a drink of water but being to scared to get out of my bed i called to my parents at the time the house we were living in was farely large and my room was quite a was away. When they finally herd me they came running to calm me down as they got to the door out of the corner of my eye I saw something looking at me from outside of my window. It looked like the small child from most of my other dreams. This child was a reoccuing character in many of my night terrors and nightmares. At the moment I saw him i started freaking out trying to get my parents to look at the window. I cloed my eye's hoping to not see him anymore but when i opened them and looked to my parents I saw him standing behind them. A small child which i can only describe as having nothing but blood coming from empty eye sockets. After that i fell back into sleep and awoke 5 hours later with my dad sleeping near me on a small inflatable matress.
I woke him up and asked him what had happened and what he saw and said that that night me and my two brothers all had roughly the same nightmare all seeing a small boy with bleeding eye's so he decided to stay near us. I nearly freaked out again thinking about how my brothers could have seen the same thing as me.
The most disturbing thing was that when i moved to the house with my parents a couple years earlier i was completely fine and it was only in this certian house that i had the terrors. About 4 months later we moved on an unrelated issue and ive never really had a relapse into the terrors but while we stayed inthat house i had hallucinations every day for 5 years. My best friend who lived next to me said that a lot of people have moved into our house and left in mere months.
I don't really believe in ghosts or anything of the sort but this situation cause me to have an open mind on the subject. blank:
I dont know if anyone else has expirenced anything like this but feel free to share good or bad dream's/nightmare's.

Maybe you and your brothers watched a horror movie or something the night before. Did your parents see that little boy in their dreams?

Well maybe... after reading/watching many sci fi things, you are all some sort of mediums, and in the house where you are at something happened and the spirit is till at rest. i used to have those dreams, although my parents didnt believe me they just thought i was actually sleeping, eyes closed and all. So i think that led to me not believing it was real my mind shutting out any supernatural things.
Maybe ur an insomniac... or maybe ur just high??
PS this also happened to one of my bros friends, although he played alot of magic and DOOM.

yeah happend to me but instead of the little kid it was girl and i had buttsecks with her.. just joking I guess its cursed or something I DO BEILIVE IN GHOSTS... some shit is just unexplained and i woulda pissed my pants if that happend to me

one night i was dreaming i was in the down stairs laundry room and the lights were flickering and this man he looked like the scientist from hostile (never saw the movie) he was rubing against my skin some other horrifying things then i woke up in tears.

The empty-eye-socket-with-blood thing is a really common thing used in movies. It was in Freddy Vs. Jason and I think Silent Hill, to name a couple.

wow man.. you all have worst dreams than me.. the worst thing to me is that the lights wont turn on and i know its a nightmare so i wake up before something happends

In a town 10 mins from me theres a block or smaller where there is a block or smaller and when you go in it all electronics shutoff. At first I thought maybe a emp but then guns didnt work. I was freaked out. Everything worked fine when I left. Theres a story on how it happened I can look into more but all I know is 2 kids went missing and were found mentally retarded with eyes where you mouths were. Screwed up shit. This is not a dream this is a true story. Since we were talking about ghosts I thought I would add it.

I Have had bazaar occurances happen to me like that.
One night my husband grabbed my hand and shook me awake...he turned his head slightly and said..."Do YOU see THAT?" This all said in a frantic whisper.
I looked at him sleepily,and saw a dark form floating directly above him.
I blinked a few times and whispered back..."Yes I see it!"
As soon as I sat up ...it vanished.
We looked at one another for a moment,and tried to figure out what the hell it was.
These type things continued until we moved.

i had this happen to me once and olny once around when i was maybe 9-10 years old i was just about fall asleep ,someone turned on the adjcent bathroom light which forced my eyes open but wut i saw was something like a human venus fly trap at the foot of my door , i looked at for a good 10 seconds
it just stood there drooling after the lights went out it vanished

I had a recurring dream when I was like ten. My family was in a room and I was down the hall. There was an invisible entity at the other end of the hall that I could sense, but not see. My family was completely obvlious to it but I knew it was there. It would linger for a few seconds and then rush down the hall past me, and attack my family, at which point I would wake up. One night when I had the dream, when it went to rush past me, I threw the hardest punch I had at it and the thing literally exploded and gobs of blood went flying in every direction. It was ridiculous. When I woke up the next morning, my dad was standing at the door, cleaning dried blood off my door. He asked me if I knew how it got there, I told him I didn't. True story.

wow this thread grew pretty fast  ya no my parents never saw the boy and me and my brothers never really did ne thing together i basically only saw them maybe 1-2 hours a day max lol i was always at my friends running around or other things.
also from reading smoe of there things im getin scared of going to sleep lol serious

thx a bunch now i will prolly have this dream >_< this dream is freaky as hell I have dreams everynight honestly I do, yes and all scare the SHIT out of me, dont know why, dont care no more because im so used to it, also I end up dieing in every dream then I wake up at 4-5 a.m. in the morning, it sucks

If you wanna wake up start trying to blink in your dream eventually you will blink in real life and wake your self up. It works as a kid now I can just wake up whenever I want too.
