Okay guys I need help i juste started playing again diablo 2 after 3 years...
But i have a big problem !
When there is alot of monster im laging like hell and i dont know why . My computer is very good and im laging like hell it not really possible. My fps ( Frame per second ) are droping from 150 to 10 .... so i juste cant move and kill anything that sux... 3 years ago i had a crappy computer and i could play without laging a bit ...
AMD 2800+ @ 2.3 GHZ
Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT
RAM = 1536 MB
Im using windows xp 64 bit edition ...
If some one can help me plz that would be very help full... thx u in advance ...

Welcome to the wonderful world of Blizzard. It has gotten worse in the last year.
I am assuming you have a good connection too. I find it lags really bad at peak playing times, not too bad early in the day worse as everyone gets on after school/work.

Ahhhh okay but does it could be my computer ?? because now when there is like a lot of action it like very hard to play and it really sux ... i tried puting graphics very low but nothing really changed so... And yes i got a good connection i dont think it is the problem because im using 512 kb/s ...

i was gana say DIAL up? but you already canceled that out :"P ummm im not quite shure. theres not as many people playing d2 now as 3 years ago. ans also u have a good comp so my mind is boggled

my old computer would lag like crazy when i got near monsters. my graphics card didn't support open gl so i used direct draw. now, that i have new computer that supports it, i do fine.
also, this is just a thought but if you're using directx 9 that maybe the problem. (although it's not a problem on mine) It's been my experience that directx 9 is crazy buggy. i've had to revert to directx 7 to make a few games run smoothly. (directx 7, in my opinion, is the best version made)

Man i tried downloading directx 7 and 8.1 but it does not support windows xp ... And when u say open GL wtf is that ? it like when u do the video test u can choose 2 things ? ...
