What the hell is MySpace? Is that the site where people post there profiles and then have the computer slowly suck out all of there free time and social life chatting with a 40 year old guy that has said he is a 17 year old "hawt gurl"?

Do you have to be a member of facebook in order to be able to view peoples' profiles? At uni, I've asked lots of people for pictures that they've taken during the evening, and they all say that I can get them off their facebook accs. Being opposed to such a phenomenon, I don't want to make an account, but I still want the pictures...

i believe you do have to be signed up to protect people's privacy.

If you are under 16, Myspace automatically sets your profile to private, and will remain private until you change the setting yourself. I think if you are under 14 you can't change it.

Sad to say, but I still do have a Myspace account. I hardly ever visit Myspace anymore (I only visit to check in on one Stepmania group I'm in). I do, however, have a Facebook account as well and am more active there than Mywaste.

I still use myspace, mostly to keep in contact with old friends.
I don't use it as a launchpad for dates or anything like that. Here lately I've hardly been doing anything on it, I get hit up for friend reqests every day from pornbots/crappy bands&comedians. Occasionally I'll get a message from some fat or really young chick who 'really digs my e-profile'

the only reason i ever got a myspace was because it was the only way i could find and get in touch with some people from elementary school

I just don't see the need to have an E-Profile.. I spend enough times on chat programs including IRC MSN and going to forums communicating to have something like that.

also, you can change the setting to private if you want to.. they changed the settings
