Myspace?

Myspace is only more popular because it has been around for longer than Facebook (Myspace-2003, Facebook-2004) and thus has had the chance to be visited by more and have many more advertisers (thus, they can have stuff like music, videos, etc). Myspace is the top visited online community in the world (as well as the top visited site in the US), and Facebook is the second most visited online community in the world (seventh most visited site in the US if remember correctly).

Facebook is split into networks; nowadays anybody can sign up with an email address (open facebook), but upon signing up you join a network and can only see other peoples profiles in that network (thus the only way to see a buddy's profile in another network is to add them to your friends list).

Facebook already has claims to some things, for example being the top photo-sharing site on the net. This is popular because not only can you basically put as many pictures as you want up (organized into albums), but you also have the ability to "tag" these pictures, which lets you click in the picture and make a note of the people in the picture.

Myspace may always be more popular just because it already is the most popular and has an enormous amount of accounts as well as a variety of things on the site, but expect Facebook to gain more popularity and support from all (people and advertisers alike) for the niche it fills in the internet society.

I'm in a coolege kiddie and I use myspace because all the people I went to school with, friends, and a lot of the people I know down here use it. Granted most of them have a facebook as well. I was acctually thinking of starting a facebook account.

Neither are most of the people that have them. Actually, a majority of myspace users are at least 18 and have already graduated from high school.

I would say that most users of myspace are from the ages of 15-19.

That being said Myspace is like a huge online HS were people try to show they have the most "friends" lol. The whole thing is pretty pathetic. Then you add the pedophiles that are hunting young girls/boys and you have one big cesspool of crap.

myspace isn't just for emo's. Its an extension from highschool with the saps that try to treat it like its some damn popularity contest. ROFL. I hate everything about myspace.

personally i check my myspace like 13131 times a day and just dont feel like gettin a facebook but i seriously like it cuz i always get comments and its an ez way to talk to people when you need to tell them something and there not online. most people dont like it becuz they get one and they 1. either have no friends 2. never get messaged or picture commented.

i once did consider using myspace as an intelligence data base for 5 war plans ( 2 in progress) but i didnt due to security reason.. man i love pissing the law off
