Reinstall d2 (make sure you have no modified files), redownload loader, re-install it (Read the instructions carefully).

It shouldnt be this tough to use d2loader, its the simplest of all hacks to use.

Yea, this issue has started to come up after b.net changed the version check system which also effects bots like stealthbot. So when you download the patch via battle.net, it won't work anymore for copyrighted things like game.exe (I think).

Luckily, i've kept the original LOD_Patch1.11B files and I have uploaded them for you. Just copy and paste all these files into your main d2 folder and it should work now. It can also occcur if u isntall a patch on top of a patch from a private server like d2relived.

Put teh files in the drive you installed D2 on

Try C:\Program Files\Diablo II foldder first

I dunno anything about the D: drive but its probably the same path.

When you put the files in the d2folder, it should replace the same files. If that message doesnt come up when it says "are you aure you want to replace?", you probably don't have D2 installed. So check everything again carefully and tell me your results.

for d2 loader: add the mpq files that are needed (i just stick all of them in the diablo 2 folder). add the diablo 2 no cd file. Rename it to Diablo II. On the desktop Shortcut, go to its properties. At the end of the target line, add -title "Diablo II". Apply changes and run it like normal. If you run mods that use command lines, make sure they are updated for 1.11b or it will cause errors on character load.
