I would like to begin by saying this is only my opinion. A Mod is effective only if they have respect.This is not something you buy..it must be earned. people that want to be a Mod sometimes miss the point.Being able to delete and move/close threads and posts is cool..to a point.Being respected and persuasive is more powerful than just website drone slave work.What a Mod does is difficult ...if they are good at all they have already earned respect and treat others with respect. Launching a campaign to be a Mod is about as retarded as it gets. Trying to use friendship to sway a Mod/Admin opinion or action is also MONUMENTALLY WRONG!I will tell you why.I have influence here with the Mods and Spitfire...denying this would be stupid.Asking me to get things done by talking to them for you will net you a few things...and this includes any instant messenger you share with me.You will be blocked/deleted after I tell your butt off. I will lose respect for you...(good luck getting it back)
If I wanted to Mod or help run the Forum ...pay attention...I STILL WOULD BE!
Having said this I suggest that people with issues/problems go to a Mod or an Admin....whoaw!!! Baby there is a thought!!! Talk to somebody actually IN CHARGE and it is their JOB to take care of things! I am a MEMBER...lets chant this a few times so it sinks in...MEMBER...as in nobody...if problems arise please do NOT circumvent the proper channels and go to a person with influence. It is wrong...period.

OMG it HAD to be said though. I HATE when people talk to me on an instant messenger and try to use me to affect changes that will benefit them on a forum.It...is...WRONG!*Hey can you get me unbanned?* Or *talk to ~insert name here~ they have me blocked*
I sit dumbfounded and think "There is probably a reason they do...and it is not my problem or JOB!!!! To help you when you got yourself into trouble."
How about grow the hell up and learn to talk to someone that can actually affect a change?....Oh I don't know..a MOD! Or ADMIN!...They have that cute little thing under their names that says STAFF...it is not hard to find folks.

Wow, deep, emotional, I'm almost speechless. Pam almost, lost her temper. That would be very annoying though. Just because your a legend/ex-mod, they think that you can make the mods or admins do something contradicting to what they did in the first place. I guess common sense isn't so common after all.
