Need a PVM Zealer build

I might be statring on a zealer soon...so i wanna know how u people build ur zealer...
And i wanna see what are the best items for it...

weapon : eth botd zerk and a lightsabre for switch so you can kill phy immune quicker
shield : HoZ / eth exile
boot : gore rider
ring: raven forst + any +skill ring
armor : upgrade GA
amulet: Mara's
glove: whatever with lifeleech or crafted item
helm: shako / COA / Andariels
belt: thundergod for stat / Arachnid for skill

the build I think is easy for zealer though i have not built one yet ...

sacrifice 20
fana 20
holy shield 20
left may go to defiance to increase def

Other skills could go into maybe Salvation, Defiance(Holy shield Syn) Charge or smite, maybe even conviction if you want..(I wouldn't)

Wep: EBoTD Zerk (or War Spike good)
Armor: Chains of Honor (or Enigma)
Shield: HoZ (or Exile)
Gloves: Dracul's Grasp (or Bloodfists)
Belt: Verdungo's Hearty Coil
Rings: Carrion/Raven Spiral/Raven Frost(If can be frozen)
Amulet: Viper Torque/Maras
Helmet: Gaze/Crown of Ages

Thats just the build I would head for.

(it's nice... but i have yet to get the eth zerker... on ladder they're more difficult to obtain... but i'm using ias/ed jewel'd runemaster shaeffer's works good too, hope it helps

personally i'd max defiance..gives you alot more defense.

that is in my build... -_- u don't max it till 98 tho... including skill quests so...>_<

Yah maxing defiance give you alot of defence, you can easily get over 16k def with maxed holy shield and defiance.

2 handed weapons work really well with zeal too. with 5 hits, any base damage increase is actually 5x that much, but defense is only as is. Remember that when deciding between 100 damage and 100 defense

I'd much rather have a shield with any zealot... no shield=no holy shield=10k def difference

but you have 20 more skill points to synergize or get vengence for the immunies. 20 skill points is crazy. vengence also works best with a 2 handed weapon because the base damage is reflected in the calculation for total damage as being multiplied by several hundred %. holy shield is good, but in diablo, it is all about damage... if you can't kill, you aren't going to have fun even if you use less potions. After all there is a potion to resotre life, but no potion in the world will beat bloodraven on hell if you can't fight through her never ending hord of undead. that's a nice suprise for a zealot with not enough punch. then try the maggot lair when there are more maggots being produced than you can kill. Needless to say, you might wanna wait on the holy shield for last at least. if you like defense and holy shield, try a smiter! they are boss killers and a very good build.

yeah the only probelm is... a zealot with 2 handed wep= dead zealot, it's a melee character w/a skill specialized at dealing w/multiples of monsters.... unless it's a 1 hit kill (VERy unlikely) you'll suck giant nuts... and yes.... the defense bonus is HUGE!! if your using eth exile in vortex.... it's just the best zealot build period....

my zealot has a the upgraded gavel of pain and sockets with jewels that add damage and I'm doing 13k/hit. I consider that a one hit kill. It was the easiest game I have ever played. In contrast, my room mate made the same build with a one handed weapon and he needed my help to beat bloodraven AND the maggot lair. He has yet to beat the game and I did it 2 months quicker and he's already 5 levels higher than I was when I beat the game. With my spare points in vengence, I'm a group and boss killer. I could even afford to use conviction so I can toggle auras to hit for max damage. I would advise that you have played the game before to be skilled enough to toggle and switch attacks, but if you have the goods' and the skills' it's a very fun build.

a zerker axe is one handed hehe some one told me that a eth zerker axe is worth a soj with out any runes in it is that tru(on useast ladder)

In my opinion for an melee attacker
it do worth more than a SOJ

On NL I payed 2 Vex and Ber rune for eth 6 soc Zerker... and apparently thats low... so maybe it is worth SOJ on Ladder... shouldn't doubt it though

jesus i didn't know they were worth that much, we just need some REAL experts from every realm/ladder to try and establish some values... i hate trading for something, then checking the forums only to find that you payed 2x what it's worth... that's such a shitty feeling..course it's a great one when u rip sum1 off
