Rune question

today someone told me that there is a way to tell if a rune is duped or not is this true or is this guy trying to scam me?
i had a feeling that this is a scam so i didnt trade him intill i can make sure that he wasnt lieing.

yeah the only way you'd ever know if it was duped or not is if it poofed. there's no way of knowing it it's legit or not.

even selling and buying it back wont prevent it from poofing?

There is a way to see if an item is duped. Im not sure if it works on runes tho. Download C3P0 mh and turn the ilvl mod on and the ilvls of unduped items are alot differnt then the ilvls of duped items.

thats sounds like a good way.. only right after you turn it on.. you get banned
