This, is the Riddle Game. A game where you use your eyes and comprehension to seek out the obvious, but hidden clues that hold the key to solving the riddle. Think you have what it takes, why not find out:
Riddle 1:
The paragraph below is most unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby, walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The above passage is taken from the book "Gatsby" written by Ernest Vincent Wright in the late 1930's."
Wow, eleven views and not even a single guess. Come on people, surely you guys are smart enough to figure it out.

Those are all delightfully creative guesses, but I am afraid that they are all incorrect. I'll tell you what. Just to make this even more interesting, I'll give whoever solves the first riddle 50 points. As the riddles progress, so to will the rewards bestowed upon those that solve them. A hint, look closely at the grammar and construction of the paragraph, nothing seems odd to you?

No, it is a grammer thing, but not of puntuation. More of an oddity rather than a mistake.

Well, unless you are just spamming for a post count, yes you are. I am waiting to see if anyone gets it right, seeing as how nearly everyone that responded with a guess are still online.

I don't know yet. I figured someone would get it. It is one of those riddles where you slap yourself for not realizing what the solution was.

There is no use of the letter "e" in the passage.
