I started using the D2Loader provided in the download section of this site a whiles back. It was the only 3rd party program I was using with Diablo 2, and I had been pretty vigilant about other programs. Regardless, I logged on the other day with the same old hacked account pity story. My two best equipped characters were stripped of all their valuables, including self-found items which rules out ruststorm or the like.
I consider it a grace since I had most of my stuff still, but it still sucks. So I tried to figure out how it happened, downloaded this program called Advanced Anti Keylogger after searching around the net for the best one.
Lo and behold, after openning up Diablo 2 through the loader, nothing showed up. I clicked in the password box, pressed one key, and the Anti Keylogger flagged it as logging my keystrokes.
I think this explains the phenomenon I experienced where I would type in my account or be typing while playing and all the letters would be entered in backwards. "Golem" would turn out as "meloG" etc. Something about keylogger disfunction maybe?
Anyways, I figured I should post this on the website, and I am curious to see what others have to say about this. Since this occurred I've ran Diablo 2 without the loader and changed my passwords, and have gotten the Anti Keylogger to block keylogging whenever I use the loader. I have yet to find a loader that doesn't ring up alarms though.

All the hacks/mods/utilities are clean here, so that is impossible.

could be the software advanced anti keylogger. could be a fake/rogue software. just like virusburst. btw. there are some programs that mistake a log as a keylogger. and some broad tcp/ip games use log files to keep track of the system so if an error occurs, it can send in that portion of the log to the administration so they can find a future solution for it.

Friendly home usage keyloggers usaly lag you.

if loader on this site was infected, people far richer than you, such as myself, would have lost items already. i dont know how you lost your items, but it was not the loader from this site.

I've been using the loader from this site for a few months, so I know for a fact its clean.

pfft i used it with about 80hrs on hand, a 95% perfect gear pvp fire sorc, a 90% perfect pvm hammderin, a 95% perfect uber smiter, 20ish torches, and several other decently equiped chars and never lost anything.

Well then I have no idea. I downloaded no other D2 3rd party software and did not give my password away nor give any friends any idea of what it was. I doubt it was bruteforced, no failed login attempts etc. Might it have occurred to you that there could really be a keylogger in there but the person is staying away from prominent forum members here and sticking to nobodys like myself? It'd mean they could get away with much more than just one big steal.
The Advanced Anti-Keylogger program is serious business. I think it is worth checking out.
I'd be less suspicious if only one of my accounts was jacked, but another account which had a completely different name was jacked at the same time.
Additionally, if D2Loader kept a log (which it doesn't), why would the anti-keylogger only detect logging on the first keystroke? It all seems too suspicious to me :[

when you get banned, you sometimes blame it on others. trust me, its not d2loader, it must have been a friend or something

d2loader on this site is 100% clean
and i won't even get into how rich i was on d2 before i quit and lost stuff from not checking accounts
just say its over 1k hr's worth of stuff ez after the lost accounts

I'm with loits on this one. You would think that they wouldn't, but they will. Happened to me a while back, thats why i quit.
Anyways i checked it out useing the program,
advance anti keylogger, and it did not flag my d2 loader as being a keylogger, so it's not just the program. So this leads me to the suspicion that you didn't download the d2loader from our site.

took apart both d2loader and Advanced Anti-Keylogger.
d2loader only has images commands on it to make the system to think the cd is actually in it. but if you still feel unsure about it, get daemon tools, an image and just run it from the image. I dont tend to use the loader much myself since i have images on different external harddrives and just run the image. what might be setting off your program may be a bot you got from another site or some kind of maphack. in the past there was a maphack made by netter that had a keylogger on it if i remember correctly.
as for Advanced Anti-Keylogger, its owned by spydex which is affiliated with virusburst. So theres a chance that it is also a rogue anti-program. 20% of its algorithims is also tainted which tried to save data on its server (i.e. type of system owner runs, pws, cc numbers etc.) which can be sent and accepted by their company. my firewalls found it. anti-keylogger also sent pings out to its target with information attatched to it that is basically spam information that your system does not need. sometimes it will do host identoverflow so be careful when using it.
