Hammerdin gear question

Is it possible to strength bug both the weap and shield on a hammerdin while still sustaining max block (with holy shield) if its possible can some one tell me the stat placement and what gear you need thanks.

Yes, it can be done, but you need to be pretty rich. I presume this is for PvP? Do this:
Helm: Perf CoA Ber Ber
Amulet: +2 Pala 15%fcr +xx str +xx dex +mods
Weapon: Wizzy (with 7%FHR/+9STR/+9DEX jewel)
Armor: Enigma
Shield: Perf Zaka Ber
Belt: Arach
Gloves: Magefists
Boots: Shadow Dancers (+25 dex)
Ring1: 10%fcr +20 STR +15 DEX +resi +mana +life (probably most expensive part of your char)
Ring2: 10%fcr +20 STR +15 DEX +resi +mana +life

Stats:
STR: you may have to put a point or 2 into this if you are not going to level very high, because you will need the +STR from Enigma so that you can wear CoA
DEX: use this calculator to find out just how much DEX you will need.
VIT: rest, if not all
ENE: none

Skills:
20 Conc
20 Blessed Hammer
20 Vigor
20 Blessed Aim
1+ Holy Shield (you only need lvl 14 with all gear to get best chance to block, extra def isn't that necessary)
rest into Resist Lightning or Resist Fire (not both, choose one)

Inv:
Perf Anni
Perf Torch
2xPC 12%FHR
If you used the exact gear that I listed above, you will reach 125%FCR and 86%FHR. With Holy Shield, you will automatically have a 2 frame block. Therefore, you can fill the rest of your inv with +20 life +11 light/cold resi SCs. Use some +20/5s so that you have all resists stacked by ~10, then fill rest with +20 life +11 light/cold.

Now, this gear is awesome vs. BvCs. As prementioned, you will have:
max block (dex from amu, jewel in wizzy, rings, dancers, anni and torch)
almost max DR% (awesome on pala)
86%FHR (30% dancers, 30%CoA, 24%from PCs, 7%from jewel in Wizzy)
125%FCR (15%amu, 50%wizzy, 20% arach, 20% mages, 20% rings)

Vs other chars you shouldn't really use this set, except for maybe vs. Windy. Vs other casters you will have low mana and the whole max block thing will have been a waste, so use something like:
Helm: Circlet +2 pala 20%FCR +str +resi +life +mana, etc
Weapon: HOTO
Ring1: stick to the fcr one, the bonuses are nice
Ring2: SoJ, you will be low on mana
Boots: eTreks
Gloves: keep Mages because of mana. If mana is not a problem, use Trang's especially vs Cold sorcs.

For BMing:
If you want to go very BM (seems the popular thing nowadays), keep the following items stashed:
Hotspurs
Dwarf Star (2x if you want)
Thundergod's
Wisp (2x if you want)
2x Raven
4sox Vortex +45 allresi with 4xPTopax
4sox Vortex +45 allresi with 4xPSapphire
Snowclash
Rising Sun

That's all I can think of now. This is extremely BM and I certainly don't recommend using any of those items. How to use them you can figure out yourself, just make sure you stick to the 125%fcr breakpoint with all the absorb and resi stack. I.e. Spurs + Dwarf = you can own any fire sorc.

I'm not very experience with Hammerdin dueling so I think that it could wait for a while. Or do you think it would help if I just stickied the gear, skill and stat distribution?

Yeah do that and theres 2 ways to duel with a hammerdin:

A (with melee): Spawn hammers tele spawn hammers tele.

B (caster): Desynch with Vigor and Charge and do hammers all over eventually they will tele in the wrong spot and die smartass2.

frater, if you would want to turn that into a guide, i could write up a duel strategy on almost all pvp builds for every class.

and i know a good lil "formula" for making your hammers a bit more accurate in duels, let me know if you want the info

That's like saying that all you need to do with a Windy is namelock and spam, yet if you read my Windy guide, you'd see that most of it is dueling strategies. That's my point, I'm not going to write up some half-assed piece of shit. I'll do this when I'm a little more knowledgeable on hammerdins.
