Originals not becoming dupes?

Ok i took 5 permed sojs, duped them twice. Therefore i had 15 sojs. I took them and put all 15 on 1 mule and s&e game. Came back to another game, and i had 5 of the same looking permed sojs but the other 10 were gone.

Does this mean the originals didn't become dupes? Or somehow they just didn't poof

you should put the 5 and 5 duped sojs in two different chars. and your 5 perm ones in other one.

Thats not what im saying. People on here say that the original sojs that you dupe to get more become dupes themselves, but i wanted to test that. I duped the 5 permed sojs twice. And put them all on one mule to see what would happen when i s&e game. I came back, only the 5 permed sojs were there. The dupes were gone.

The question im trying to ask is, are the original copies not becoming dupes?

They may have the same id, but they are still perm. The only items that are not perm are the ones you copied off of that item.

When you dupe test it out, dupe 3 sojs. Put all 6 sojs on one mule, put the dupes on one side of the inventory and the perms on the other. See which side stays and which side doesnt.

when you dupe somthing the original wil become unperm as well since the item codes are the same it will stay unperm until all other copys of it are eliminated or visa versa the dupe could become perm if the original poofed understand what i am saying?
