X-Box is more powerful it just lacks the franchises of the PS2...frankly I hate the PS2 Sony pulled a real bastard tact by releasing an unfinished system and forcing everyone to get new ones three months later. I used to love that PS2 but since I got my X-Box...you know the one that doesn't freeze, that doesn't just stop working, that you don't have to pay an extra $100 for a hd, that has better controllers (IMO, that is if you get the smaller ones), and that is far more powerful...I don't really like PS2 anymore. If X-Box had more franchises it would dominate the market.

last time I checked I wasn't lagging on XB Live, but as soon as I try to get online with a PS2 I feel like tearing my eyeball's out and then when you finnally get on, that wonderful magnificent thing happen's the "LOAD SCREEN" and then what does it do? It freeze's just for the hell of it.

So in short I am a SOULESS bastard that like's my nerdy X-Box over the "cool" PS2 with that Sony name on it. "Buy's a PS2 just to put in the microwave" BTW this is all my oppinion, if you have a problem with it you can go get some drugs and get over it, here I'll I even sell it to you.

ps2 i love i have 1 and gamecube has shitty graphics but good games i have 1 also and xbox has good graphics and halo is good but i hate xbox paddles i dont have a xbox though

I think xbox is way overated. Yes, it may have good graphics but its mainly only good if u have 3-4 people at ur house 24-7. Ps2 has alot more selection and variety.

I love XBox for Multiplayer gaming, be it internet or not. XBox is the shit for multi IMO, and that's about as far as it goes.. however! I must admit, Fable kicks an ungodly amount of ***[so I hear].

I like PS2 mainly for GTA, though it's now coming out for Xbox and possibly GC. I haven't played any console(or really computer) games for well over 3 months. When and if San Andreas ever comes out, i'll probably binge for a week or two from the Video Store, and that'd be it.

Gamecube owns for games like Ikaruga(yeah, I played it AFTER the Maddox article), Meteroid, Pikmin, the Mario Bro. series, Super Smash Bros, and Zelda.

All of them are fun..

My favorite system(s)? That would have to be the SNES and Genesis. Why? SNES had the best rpgs (in my opinion) like Chrono Trigger, FF6, Secret of Mana, etc... And the Genesis would be because I liked the Sonic games a lot.

Xbox: Reliable, Powerful, Games: Halo, KotOR, Halo 2 (soon), KotOR 2 (soon), Half-Life 2 (we hope), Doom 3 (soon), GTA (way better than ps2 version), Chronicles of Rid****, Extreme beach Volleyball (admit it u like it.....for the gameplay of course).....o yeah and the controllers rock....if theyre the small ones...

Lol this thread has survived the test o time skip. Xbox is the best by a landslide. The online play may cost but hell its smoother then ps2 and everygame uses headsets, and they dont have to hold a button for. ps2 has only the headset for like a few games like socom and u gotta hold the damn button and u have to have only 1 person at a time... Xbox has games like Halo, Fable, Doom and hundreds of other great titles. Halo 2 is going to be the best game ever and the most popular game in all of system gaming history. Thats all i have to say.. i prob said this earlier tho..

i like ps2 because it has the most console only titles and its carries all the final fantsy's (crytal cronicals was a mistake, u cant make FF a kidslike game)

oh and 4 classic game pick ive gota go w/ exite bike, who doesnt love exite bike? (going off jumps and landing on ur face is fun)

(very believable environment, i looked up stuff on government and alians afterward)
