I actually dont see how People dislike an abiotic piece of plastic because another abiotic peice of plastic is "better." They all have there pro's and cons. So i dislike non.

i kinda agree with aboisis, if no one isulted gamecube or the DS then i wouldent find whats wrong with xbox and ps2

I like all the consoles, just I prefer the games on PS2 the most. I'll end up with all of the consoles in the end just because I want to play some games on all of them. And Abi, they are not "better" in the sense that you seem to mean, they are better in functionality and selection of games, or at least that's how I rate them. One can not say that a Ford Escort is as good as a Ferrari Enzo, it would just be wrong to say so. Thus, the same applies, you can not rightly say a NES is as good as a Xbox, even though each is an inanimate object. You can like all equally, but you can not rightly say one is the same as another. You can say it all you want, doesn't mean you are correct. Freedom of speech/press is a wonderful thing....

True, BTW you can be arrested for some cuss words, at least around where I live you can. Then again, they do censor TV and other forms of press, it isn't entirely "free" but you can voice your opinion in a civil way. That is more what that freedom is meant to imply. Yet, as with most things, people seem to take it too far, thus, someone must limit how far you can go, or many people would "step over the edge" so to speak. Having total freedom of speech would probably cauase more problems than current levels of censorship, but that is an argument for another thread. Now for the sake of staying on topic, I'll transfer this into game terms. I don't think they should ban/censor games, because so many movies do the same thing with the violence, drug use, killing, and all that stuff. If you take so many violent games off the shelves, I say take the movies down to. But they won't do that. They say the movie industry does more to prevent "kids" from getting "r" rated movies than the game industry does to prevent kids from getting "M" rated games. I would like to see the game industry step up it's control on youth purchases of "M" rated games and others. But to say, as so many people do now, that it is "causing" violence in the youth today, is just plain stupid. If this were the case, wouldn't the same people say "OMG That movie shouldn't be released because it has a naked woman in it!" Well they don't, so they shou;d make up their minds. They are either against "explicit" things in media all together, or not. I'm all for the killing and maming games, and the movies of the same sort, yet they should do more to stop 8 year olds from playing them. I mean, there are parents who let 10 year old sons watch porn when he wants, so they would probably let him play any game he wanted. It's always been this way, so why do some people all of a sudden have a problem because it's in a game? It's just a newer form of mass media and older people in general have a problem with it. Oh well, screw them I say. People did the same thing when movies hit big, they said "You can't show that on screen!!" , but look at movies now. Enough said...

i agree all systems have their pros and cons, face it if dream cast was realesed a few years before it was they would probably be the best in the market but they realesed it way too early for consumers to really get into it

FYI-Xbox also has GTA now. Just a heads up....

X-Box doesn't have San Andreas though, to my knowledge. They got Vice City and GTA 3 after all of the PS2 owners were done with them anyway.

Yea, but they will get SA. Point being if you are an Xbox owner chances are you won't go get a PS2 for GTA unless you don't know by now that it will come to Xbox. Xbox 2 is reportedly going to release earlier than PS3 now, so unless PS3 matches Xbox 2 in power and performance AND options (ex burning cd's to HDD and playing custom soundtracks on Xbox) then I think the Xbox 2 will plow right over the PS3 in sales. (unless of course the price is outrageous)

true but i think it is going to be a little costly i heard that it might cost around 500$ but im not sure, if microsoft does well in its other areas it might lower the price to compete with the ps3 and if they do that they might eliminate the ps3 but we dont know so..

if ya think about it, XBOX SUXS compared to PS2, i mean....look at their backgrounds, Sony makes TV's and VCR's, DVD players, ect. then they jump into the gaming field with the Playstation, then later the Playstation 2, (2 game systems), look at M$, they have a background making Computers (not the greatest in my book) but, good gaming computers, so all the computers they make differently could play the games of there time perfectly, then they make the xbox, and its a little better then the PS2 (spec. wise), i mean, come on now, look how huge the xbox is, made by people who have been making that kind of thing for many, many years, whereas sony just got into game systems.......kinda sad

i think i'll take the pc. beside there are more games out for pc than any other system. the online multiplayer options on pc blow every console away. A mouse its 5x faster than a joypad. a monitor is much better for gaming than a tv. the list just goes on. many people think that the xbox ps2 and gamecube have this high tech equipment in them when they don't. everything in them sucks. if the equipment in one of the three console were even close to a mid-range pc it sure as hell wouldnt be 200$

mine was only 800...........there is a good bit of games for PS2.......all the PS games PLUS the new PS2 games........i didnt have 1/2 the PS games, and i had a mod chip....and around 130 games..........out of the game consoles.....PS2 DEFINANTLY has the most games for it.....by far

but mpeck the ps2 is alot worse than the xbox.

my point is though, the PS2 (IMO) is alot more fun......the controls for halo were just too hard.......whereas i havnt played a PS game with anything harder to control..........pretty bad considering M$ has been in the business for so much longer (in gaming systems)

HA halo was easy to control it was the best fluent game si have ever played so stop right now, ps2 controllers have two r buttons and two L buttons where as xbox only has 1 for each, controlers fit more comfortably in a persons hand then ps2's hand crampy thingsum it plays music better than ps2 it can store music i dont think ps2 can do that, it has more self storage memory ps2 only has memory cards (xbox has them too) and its controllers have a built in rumble pack where you have to buy ps2 controllers to get it, their controllers have FANS in them i dont think ps2 has anything like that so controller wise and system wise (cause where not talking about comps) is the best, and so the computers are slowly dwindeling in games b/c companies are trying to make it for the game systems before the comp if they port it over anyway

lol......PS2 controllers are much more comfortable.......and.....all the ps2 controllers have build in shock (what you call rumble packs)....btw, 4sylum was wrong about the PS2 specs. (not by much), but here is some PS2 Specs. (not the slim one.....which does have even higher specs.)
