Hmm, i just recently quit Barbs for good i hope, ive spent too much time on them, but after doing BVB for 6+ months, i found that Defense is the way to go. If your only Uswest ladder. Get a bugged Indes Fort, they can have 2.4k Defense, and have high damage.But since i played Useast NL, i found the best armor was Prudence, yes you do exceptionally low Damage, but a bugged Prudence in a Barlog Armor with 3k Defense is Crazy, thats 36k+ Defense, with no Mastery Gcs/Warcrys. The higher your Defense the harder it is you to hit you. When i made the switch from Fort to Evalor, i never lost another BVB duel vs any barb using Fort. The defense on Evalor, Which actually is the same as an AP fort, frosted, put me over the top with other BVBs. Recently, i did testing with a Prudence, and found it to be GG for BVB duels. The last test i did, was No prebuffs, vs a Enchant/Bo prebuff barb, and at the end of the duel, he had only done 1.4k Damage to me, out o fmy 6.3k Life pool. And i had killed 7.4k Life from him. So, from personal Experience which is alot i must say. Defense>Damage in BVB duels, take your pick which you want.

Also, im on a stupid school computer, so for some reason, it wraps everything into 1 paragrahp :/.

Fort Sacred = Crazy def and dam in one.

WW lvl = 28 : 166ed%
Mastery lvl = 30 : 173ed%
STR = 186 : 186ed%
BA = 48 avg dam
Grief = 400 dam (if you don't have 34%+/400 BA, forget about BvB)
(48+400)x(1.66+1.73+1.86) = 2352

Apply PvP penalty 2352x0.17 = 399.84 = 400
and 50%DR:
400/2 = 200

I haven't done this in a while, so I may have got something wrong. Of course, this is your raw damage with 4 Masterys GCs, it doesn't take other charms (whatever you may have) or, OW/CB/DS into account.

ok tyvm and if i make a fort sacred thats alot of str lol (220+ i believ) so should i use that? ill be using alot of stats in str.. i guess thats good for dmg but ill lose alot of life...adn tyvm for all of your time/effort put into helping me out (seriously lol even tho iv said it like six times already^^)

If I were to make a BvB, I would go for Fort Sacred. It's no problem, injoy your BvB.

There are a number of bvb armors.. there is no single best one, these would be: forti, duress, stone.

Can anyone guess why my bvb rapes? As an hint I'll tell you that it's not because of poison damage and open wounds. In my inventory i have ar/life scs.

That char i have on open, it would have been on closed but i decided to quit diablo before i managed to actually build it. The idea of this build is to do ow damange only and no physical damage at all. You might not know that bvb barbs are always on low mana because of the ~300 mana pool and whirlwind takes 50 off that every time, they rely on damage to mana that you get from your angelic ammy. If you do no damage at all then you are starving them of mana giving you a massive advantage in a long fight and as an ow barb you are aiming for a long fight. =)

Having a less points in whirlwind means that you do less damage.

in my weapon i have the following jewels/runes:
3 x um
1 x shael
1 x 100ar/15ias
1 x p emerald

The only reason i have the emerald in there is that it lets me know when i hit the opponent. Once they turn green you keep your distance for ow to do it's work. Poison damage could also work on this char but i prefer to use ar/life scs because of the relatively small life pool.

how much OW does that build have? and is there a cap on OW?

I dunno about you but it's pretty damn clear that that build has 100% ow, 75% from the weapon and 25% from the gloves.
