Connecting Two Harddrives?
#1
Hey guys i wanted to confirm on how to connect two internal hardrives, i have an extra jumper, then i gotta set my first harddrive as master and the other as slave, then boot-up and go to: computer>manage>disk management>right click on the 2nd hard drive>Partition the drive>format using NTFS>. Now that i have explained that does my slave harddrive ahve to be empty?, cause my slave would have windows xp on it.

i dont think that it has to be empty, but when you put windows in it, it will erase everything for you anyway. and shouldn't windows be set as master? since its in use all the time? i think it will be fine as slave though.

wait what?
if i understand it correctly, you have windows on both the slave and master. ok, then you can just erase/partition the slave

Were you planning on putting another OS on the 2nd hard drive, or were you just going to use it solely for storage?

It depends what you have as your hard drive set as for the slave and the primary master. Google it
