Lack of customization I believe. If you want a gaming computer, don't get one, if you're just looking for a budget comp, go ahead and get one.

I have a Gateway computer, that works really well, but needs more ...um...
Memory? Is that Ram? Don't mind me..I know probaby less about computers than they know about me.This frightens me on some level. What is the difference a computer and gaming computer? Pamela: <~~~~~~ computer retarded.

With dell, their computers have some cheap video card, and usually low ram, which doesnt come with any extra ram slots (i think) so if you want to upgrade your ram you have to buy a new stick. And basically a gaming computers are what you would get to increase your gaming enjoyment or to play high requirement games such as oblivion. Bascially they have more powerful specs, IE. powerful processor, expensive vid card, and a lot of ram. If you "buy" a gaming rig this assumes you want to get something that will be capable of playing any game on the current market. Obviously a budget comp wont be able to run games very well if even at all.

dell sells over priced crap, i remember when they was selling 21' LCD Monitors for like 800 or 900 and now they sell for 300-400

Well mine lets me play both FFXI and WoW. However I may need to upgrade it a bit because it does lag a lot at times.I will just have to garner help from a smart person.

idk what people are saying about not enough ram and such, and poor customability? ha. they let you choose everything, including up to 4 gb of ram. the only thing bad about dell is the software they preload (just reformat after u get it) and the higher end systems are overpriced. if you get a low or mid range computer dell is just fine.

So i was at my friends house and they had a dell, an xps, and out of nowhere their screen blacks out. They go to the store and buy a new screen, and it doesnt work. Dell suggests it might be their video card, and they buy a new 300$ one, the screen still doesnt work. They return the moniter for another, which doesnt work, and they return it ONE MORE TIME for a dell one, and it finally works.
IT WUDNT WURK CUZ IT WASNT A DELL MONITER!! prolly just a way for dell to make more money.
