First off, I would like to say I have searched every nook and cranny of the web for any useful information and or any person who could help me on this very frustrating matter. I have been playing D2 LOD for quite some time now, and I have had a very frustrating problem on my hands that no one seems to wan to help me with. Ok, here goes. When I start Diablo 2: Lord Of Destruction, it's so choppy I cant even play in any games. For example, when I am at the main menu, I move the mouse and it is realy realy slow and choppy. It's growing to ba complete frustration. All I want to do is play my game without any problems. Please, any USEFUL information would be useful. Thank you for you time as I appreciate your responses.

Maybe try changing video? Change from Direct3D to OpenGL.

Keep going with the spam and total disregarde for a warning and a temp ban is headed in your direction. Consider this your final warning ,and you can bet I am serious.
Add information to the thread,or answer the questions asked.Otherwise STFU and GTFO.
As to the thread starters question I have no idea what might be hindering your game.I do,however, hope that somone a bit more helpful than Bartender's contribution, answers this thread.

After you scan your system for possible viruses or adware/spyware, try defragmenting your machine a couple times, it usually helps for me.

Run video card test from the diablo II directory and switch the graphics mode from 3D to 2D. You probably won't be able to see a difference and it runs hella faster in my experience.

I tried to Spam URLs. I am completely retarded. People like me should know better than to try and Troll these forums. I should be tared, feathered, and beaten with the moron stick. I am utterly incompetent.

changing the setting from 3d to 2d definitely helps. my friend was getting 12 fps, and i changed the setting for him.. there was an instant improvement.
anyhow, what are the specifications of your computer? does it meet the minimal requirements for the game?

Thanks for the advice. I ran a defragmentation and uninstalled a few programs I wasnt using to free some space. It does this sometimes and I hate it, but it comes with owning an old comp. The games working fine now. Thanks for the help...

It all makes sense now.
Anyway, I suggest getting some cash and buying the radeon 7800 graphics card, also how much ram do you have?
