lol i did it for the exp too...i think this is more fun then when i duped in 09.durry rocks lol and u get exp when ur like lvl 4 if u do it in norm so u dont lose

If anyone is interested in not using a modified patch.mpq or a dll, and know how to send and watch packets you can just use redvex and netstuff plugin.
1. First watch packet 13:
.watch send add 13
2. Go and click on WP and netstuff should return something like this:
13 02 00 00 00 xx xx xx xx
3. The xx represent the ObjectId of the waypoint.
4. Now send waypoint id and area id of desired area via packet 49:
.send 49xxxxxxxx86000000
The 86000000 is the areaid for the forgotten sands. Areaids can be found in the levels.txt file of the patch_d2.mpq. It is acctually displayed in the levels.txt file as 134 in decimal. Since the packets run in hex, just convert it into hex and it is 86. Since packet 49 is 9 bytes long with 2 DWORDs(objectid of waypoint, and areaid or desired location), you have to six 0's onto the end of it to finish off the DWORD.
Once you send the packet 49 info you will be taken to the forgotten sands, as long as you were still standing on(or near) the waypoint you clicked on to get objectid.
Now, what i want to know is can we get to and of the other ubers this way or even better to uber tristram. I know that the other 2 ubers and trist dont work from any wp, because i have tried. I have read that the reason you can get to the forgotten sands and not the others because of the waypoint that is built into the map of the forgotten sands(even though it looks like just a dummy wp). And i know you have to have the canyon of the magi wp for it to work right(or so i have heard....dont think i have ever tested it with wp).
Which raises a good question.
Since there is a red portal in regular trist and uber trist uses the same map, can we access that portal via a wp or another red tp? I have been trying so test with this but have not come up with any good results yet.
For anyone who would like to help the other uber areaids are:
Matron's Den - 85000000
Furnace of Pain - 87000000
Uber Trist - 88000000
The packets used so far are:
Packet 13 - the packet that has info on this clicked on
Packet 49 - Use WP/Close WP
Packet 45 - Change TP Location(WARNING: this one gives me realm/down every time i have tried it).
Anyone think what i have described here is possible? I have been going at this now for a while but there is only so long a body can go without sleep, so i could use the help if anyone is interested in helping to develop this better.

So as far as changing the a red tp to any other uber level i have been having no luck. Although i have only been testing this with the furnace of pain AreaID and the objectid from the 2 red portals near the arreat plateau in act 5 because i figured they looked closes to the map of the furnace of pain, and this might not be effecting anything at all, but i know maps have to be considered because of the waypoint in the forgotten sands that lefts you in. if people can try some of these and put the results here something could acctually get done.
Also i need to look into variables of using the .recieve function to affect a TP or WP. I still have not found out if there is a way to send information in packet 45 without the realm down happening if anyone knows a way this is accomplished it would be greatly appreciated.

well i will write a guide on what tools to use and how to interact with packets if the mods here think it will be a good thing to have around, i think it would be a good sticky for a "hacks and dupes" section. So if you guys want that just tell me, otherwise i wont waste the time if no one is interested.

ok i will start work on it tonight....i will put a few examples of things in there to do from packets. anyone want anything specific put in. I am going to put the basic picking up, dropping, and selling of an item. Which would show interaction between packets and items, and packets and npc's. Also I will put in obviously how to interact with WP. Anything else you guys would like to learn about?

well i wouldn't necisarily common knowledge. There is a fairly good guide out there called the beginners guide to packet sending, i believe. Which walks you through some older hacks that done really work anymore....such as PotMatrixDupe. If you guys need something in a little more "layman's terms" i am working on it. I love for some ideas to start flying around this forum and this topic of not using the keys to get to ubers. Just think logically, if you wanna by pass keys we have to use a "teleporter" of some kind(ie. Waypoint or TP). but we still have to make it look like we got there legitimately. I was thinking if we can start sniffing packets while making uber games we can come up with some good data.

You would use REDVEX to run a proxy server for your d2, and load the NetStuff plugin for packet support.
