WF vs BOTD

Ok, I want to make a bowazon that does some nice damage and I'm a little confused. I know Windforce is a decent bow but I don't know whether do use that or BOTD. As far as bows are concerned I know that overall the botd bows do less damage than the windforce, before the stat mods / poison nova proc is applied. Now I was wondering about the botd Crossbow. I always remember crossbows being really poopy, but the botd has considerably larger minimum damage than a Windforce and not too much lower than max windforce damage. But, I really don't know enough about crossbows to make a decision. If I have other ias items will it be alright as far as attack speed is concerned...or will it still be a little slow?

So I guess my question is.
Do I go?

#1 Windforce with COH
#2 BOTD Hydra/Crusader with COH
#3 BOTD Crossbow with maybe a 160/60ias?

Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated as well.

40/15%ias 08 wf with 160/60%ias archon works well u can can other ias from gloves and possibly a 120/60% ias helm to match

make a dexazon for this setup

i like botd and wf the same both provide good bonuses and the wf has a quite high max dam with a 40/15 in it at lvl 99.

I think WF is better other than stats and leech, but with WF you jst need some items that up IAS

Hi: the 40/15ias wf is a great idea for dmg, but a BOTD crusader/hydra seems to me to be a much more effective weapon, on account of the huge bonuses/stats that it gives. I use a 160/60 ias with 120/45 ias helm, travs (why not?), raven, cgrip, imp brow, and ias/dual leech gloves (can't recall the name, pretty famous in D2 tho). My "hybridazon" is designed for pvm. A great switch is eth titans or CTA. The original thread was asking about damage: I tend to think that speed + dext = dmg for a zon (especially bowazon). So BOTD hydra seems like the best possible bow, but the rest is completely up to the user. Usally people try to use raven/cgrip or raven/raven or raven/leech ring. If you want pure dmg, then wf, 120/45 max, 160/60 max or similar armor would be pre-requisites. My own preferences aren't for dmg, but for killing monsters. :o

I'd pick none of the three and instead look for one of these:

1. Cruel Matriarchal Bow of Eviceration.
2. Cruel Matriarchal Bow of Alactricity.
3. Cruel matriarchal Bow of Poison.
All have 2 open sockets, all shoot faster then wf or botd, and all kick butt. One problem with these bows is that the dmg only reaches about 250 at best. So equip your bowazon with 32020s to help these bows reach their true potential.

wouldnt a botd be bettter than? cruels only go up to 300 or 380 with 2 40/15 and botd goes up to 400.

Soldier, you focus too much on maximum damage. The best bowazons have good damage and incredible attack speed. So many arrows in such a short period of time adds up in the end.

how much ias would a cruel have with 2x40/15? its like 60, the same as a botd and with 16060 and 12045 u would have max frame rate and more dmg

actually, dont listen to me, i never tried a dex build, my screwed up vit bowazon owned all of them lol (i maxed valk and muliti and put pts into penetrate; i didnt know better back then)
