Question on modifer stacking?

Ive heard some modifiers are stackable and some arent? I was wondering if i have a weapon thats 5% life steal and a ring thats 4% would that be 9%? And my weapon does cold damage but my belt gives lightning damage. Which one does it actually use? It seems to do cold but never lightning. Please help me out here. I might be wearing stuff that doesnt actually do any good lmao.. thanks in advance 8)

Yes that would mean you have 9% leech, and probubly only seems like you do cold damage because the cold damage freezes and lightning doesn't but you do both

btw- Ive done other builds like the bowazon and werebear both to around lvl 65 but this CONCENTRATE BARB is really fun. I can tell with the act 2 merc and my massive D this is going to be very enjoyable 8). Im only at lvl 29 and my merc is almost at 2000 D. He's a semi tank LOL. Ive heard some of you with mercs that are 30k.. thats amazing.. :eek:

interesting theory, the best merc ive seen uses a perf eth botd warpike with 160/60% armor and 120/45% helm might aura merc and he only does 10k by himself

also i think with crafting it was possible to get up to 11% life leech on a ring (blood type)
3% from the pre set and 8% from the lamphrey attribute but that is extremely rare

yeah but im saying just by himself, with NO or 1 aura.... its easy for a merc do get over 40k with more then 1 aura
