Computer sound problem

like recently my computer started 2 have problems with the sound. like it seems 2 work fine with itunes and windows media player and stuff like that but for some reason it doesnt work for internet stuff like youtube videos, flash, media files (except windows media player and quicktime player), music 4 myspace... etc. any ideas how 2 fix this? i alrdy tryed restarting my computer and checking the volume comtrol on the computer

have u changed any settings since it quit working on any site that it don't work on?
did u download any programs that could have messed with your sound card driver?
have u tried to reinstall the sound card driver?

cause that don't make any since it works on some stuff but not others.. i am clueless about this

only thing i have installed was my new web cam. other than that i havent install anything or messed with any settings

the programs that you mentioned above that are having problems all run useing macromedia flash. the first thing that i would do is check to see if your flash player is ok. try reinstalling it. also, what web browser are you using? if it is IE, then reinstalling flash should solve it. if it is firefox, i think that you have to reinstall through the browser itself.

i just reinstalled flash for both ie and firefox and restarted and still no sound

hmm
go into your volume settings, and make sure that nothing is muted. that includes the wave, line in, etc etc
also check the advanced settings
