Constructive contribution? What do you ever do besides bitching and spamming? Scroll up 1 post for proof.

i do believe he did start this thread.... and i bet he wasnt trying to get flamed because of it.

in my opinoin i think that there should be a close button that only the thread starter (and obviosly mods) can use or something

ZK~sighs~ You start most of the spam threads here,honestly you do.This is how it works...only a Mod can close a thread in their assigned section.Why is this you may ask? It is simple,they have knowledge of the area assigned to them.Therefore,it is their responsibility to tend to THAT section.

Now...when a Mod notices questionable goings on outside...OUTSIDE,of their area ,THEN they contact a Supermoderator for help,because SMod can function in any section. Which is why I pushed so hard for Frater to be SMod,he has expertise in many areas and it got a little tiresome with him and Taters(whatever) always having to PM me for help,and there really needed to be an SMod more active in those areas.



A close thread button would only turn into another Rep/ -Rep frenzie. Some spammy threads in absolutely the wrong area just need to be moved.Most retarded threads just die a natural death ,BECAUSE they are retarded,and many won't bother to post in them anymore.

Most of yours even worth looking at I scan,and decide to even enter the discussion or not.You have some great ones and some loser ones...we ALL have,but it is a Mods responsibility to make that decision,this is why you PM the appropriate Mod.

If you notice something,by all means PM with the reasoning behind the request.

I personally think a button is not neccessary,just my opinion.

I know that most of you guys seem to have the contrary opinion, but we do not live in a dictatorship. If someone has something to say, they are more than welcome to post it here, and it is for that very reason that I oppose closing threads.

The only time I ever close threads is in Character Development when someone asks a question, it gets replied, and like 3 months later some idiot comes and spams some random and often wrong bullshit in that thread. Those posts I delete and close the thread, since it's only use is now to serve as reference.

However... For threads in Small Tank etc... Those should never be closed, maybe OT should be moved to another thread, but threads themselves should never get closed, no matter how spammy or anything they get.

Once again I agree with Frater 100%. People like me have an opinion in many things, and would not like to see threads closed when I have additional information to contribute, or disagree with somebodies views.

Once again I agree with Frater 100%. People like me have an opinion in many things, and would not like to see threads closed when I have additional information to contribute, or disagree with somebodies views.

There has been no flame...yet...trust me...if it starts it will make anything posted so far look like a tea party for barbies and kids playing.

ZK I can safely say I highly doubt you will get your close button.Please think harder about a way you can some how possibly gain some form of control here.Get back to us if it is a sensible ,viable suggestion.

Actually help and suggestions is the correct place for this thread...it is your riddle thread that is out of place. You get negative feed back from some and posotive feedback from others ~shrug~ It really depends on their thoughts about your"Help and Suggestions"

Opinions seem to vary as to who likes it and who does not.My opinion is that it is redundant,and will have the affect of a reported post.
Having a button requesting a closing STILL will not let that person,thread starter or not,close that thread.

I take it you read my post incorrectly. The riddle thread should be in Jokes and Pokes,however,your current thread is in the correct place.

What,specifically,is your ultimate goal in getting a "Close Button"? Other than to make Spit have to do a lot of work?

First of all, a Riddle is Writing. If you can't see that(wouldn't really be suprised), then you need to go through a refreshment course in literature. And also, it isn't a lot of work for something like that. All he has to do is get(get=copy) the stuff straight from VBBulliten and put(put=Cut & Paste) it in the global footer, as a CSS code. But, hey, you know it all so I'll leave you to rant now.

You still did not answer the question,other than to attempt to insult me...what is the ultimate goal of a close thread button?Because only a Mod can close a thread,and a repoprted post with a request for a closing serves the same purpose.


As for writing so is pornographic graffiti on a wall...anything "written" is writing genius.
My point is that writing falls into defferent catagories.I find it amusing tat everyone else placed their riddles in Jokes and Pokes(where they belong,since it is ((entertainment)) and you alone feel the need to argue about my pointing this out to you.

So to keep you on topic...how will this improve what we already have?

Well John does report the most,but Zero does his fair share,the rest of them are pretty much done here and there by various members.I just find it ironic how often ZK has spouted that we close too many threads"Just because" and now is requesting a button pointing out threads that in his opinion or anyone elses NEEDS to be closed,instead of just sending a PM to a Mod.rolleyes:
