Soj and all the runes ranging from ko to um plus all the ones under them from Countess.

Tal Ammy, Seraphs, and a lot others plus skillers from Nith.

Always thought hell Meph dropped the most useful things, and he does.

I ran the pit so many times haven't even gotten one thing good.

The pit is for dropping anything in the game. Anything in the game is alot of items :p.

Well, in the days of D2jsp. That was my only time running The Pit so...can't really say lol.

I mean I did hear stories about people getting good items with MF. But when my friend made his MF blizz sorc he ran the pit so much the best he got that i could remember was a cheap unique ring.

I believe best places to mf are:

Pits (high lvls), Hell Meph (high lvl uniques), Pindle (uniques), and Hell Andy (sojs). Dunno about Eltritch.

If you kill enough bosses and mf monsters, you'll get good stuff.

i find pindles the best, on hell i can pindle in 30 seconds with my 91 javazon :p
i get uniques enough, very few uber uniques but some good medium lvl unis

eldritch/shenk is fast & easy, and occasionally might pop a surprise for u. Their rares are always nice. If you want to take a detour, u could pwn shenk in arreat plateau as well, he's got good drop rates.
pindle is a classic.
meph.. meh, could drop really useful things, and the councils around meph = good too, and an armor stack/thingiemajigee = good
personally, if I join a trade game or a heavy player game and find myself bored, i go to the pit. Its usually not filled with anybody,a nd with 8 players, the drop rate of monsters increases massively. If you were wondering what i've gotten this season from manually doing pit (no bots for it unfortunately), i've found really good socketables, tal armor, I saw a unique sacred armor drop (i think the person said it was a +1 templars, not positive), but as you can see, its got good potential. Also its not bad exp either, and hammerdins roll right through with ease, so try it out if u got time.

I heard about pit runs on this forum, my sorc, a level 91 346 mf on the first run of the pit in tamoe highlands, the cave in the cold plains, and the hole in the black marsh, i found a flamebellow, najs plate, a 4 socket balrog skin, and a 5 socket 14 ed superior colossus blade, i havent found much good stuff lately though, but its the hot! when I get bored with my low levels I go to normal cow games and do meph runs for the increased player drops.

NM andy is the best place hands down for SoJs. Second place in the game it can drop. The first is norm baal but thats a hassle.

i like some ancient tunnels in act 2, it's really fast and easy and is a high level area. nihlathak because its easy to get to him....baal and his friends...chaos....andy....meph....mausoleum near countess....
