My Schools Internet Filter Down
#1
Hello. First time posting in my school. Their Gg filter blocked anything that wasn'
t educational. Everytime we open internet explorer there would be a policy and you have to accept or deny. If you even go to an image, it would say something like, blocked because of: Image. Today it suddenly dissapeared lol. Does anybody know how to bypass that when it comes back?

Lunch in 15 minutes haha. They have great sandwhiches with lots of condements you put on. The line is crazy squished. Its not a line its a freakin clobber of people pushing in. With one person letting people in. I'll post a pic at home.

I'm in my Itt tech class btw. Its soooo boring. I'm not gonna go into details. Just savoring the moment where theres no filter. *Stretches*

anonymous proxies are what I usually used in school. My school blocked them but there was still ways to get passed it. just google it and look for some, if the site is blocked, just use https

EG, heres one that worked at my school, proxify

Proxify <-- original site name, was blocked at school

typed in

https://proxify.com <--- filter didnt block it, free to roam around lol

I've thought of that. However for the proxy sites I have tried using. The filter blocked it saying something like. This website is blocked for the following reason: Proxy. lol. They even blocked translation websites where we can type in a url and it translate it, making it possible to go to lots of websites but with very few possibilities. The only translate website that isn't blocked now is Google's. I'll try that proxy on Monday though.

Edit: OOOOH I didin't see the https part. NICE! I'm going to surely try that now. Thanks. =]

Edit: So can't you just type in https for all websites? Without using proxy?

Doesn't look like it. I tried it with a few sites, such as blizzsector and it did not work. I don't know why it works for some and not others, I got some info on it, but there's a lot of words I don't understand lol, hopefully you understand it. It'd be cool if maybe someone could explain it

What is HTTPS?

Answer:
HTTPS stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket Layer, or HTTP over SSL.

HTTPS encrypts and decrypts the page requests and page information between the client browser and the web server using a secure Socket Layer (SSL). HTTPS by default uses port 443 as opposed to the standard HTTP port of 80. URL's beginning with HTTPS indicate that the connection between client and browser is encrypted using SSL.
SSL transactions are negotiated by means of a keybased encryption algorithm between the client and the server, this key is usually either 40 or 128 bits in strength (the higher the number of bits the more secure the transaction).
HTTPS should not be confused with S-HTTP, a security-enhanced version of HTTP. SSL and S-HTTP have very different designs and goals so it is possible to use the two protocols together. Whereas SSL is designed to establish a secure connection between two computers, S-HTTP is designed to send individual messages securely.
Both protocols have been submitted to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) for approval as a standard.

Well, all the schools I've been to. I think they can track where ever you went online, along with the filter.

Oh yeah. I couldn't even go to Blizzsector under https. But at least it works for proxify. Which then we will use THAT to bypass the filter. GG. I'll tell you guys how it turns out on Monday. If the filter comes back.

My school has that, it's called AB Tutor Control, it's a pain in the ass. The good thing is, only like one computer lab has it and only one teacher knows how to use it, Lol.

For those who don't know, they can see whats on your computer, take control of your computer, and they can broadcast whats on theirs or someone else computer.

yup. and unfortunately for us, they have that same program installed into every single computer. in the library we have a fat ass lady who sits at the computer all day, looking at other people's screens on a lcd tv. the teachers know how to use it
