libby or mage?

WHich one is stronger and can u tell me a build with skill and gear for the one that is better?

They both shine in different places.

A libby does nice charge/hammer damage, and can stack res easier than a mage. Plus can't be sorbed, but only hits 75% FCR.

A mage has like 6-7k FOH damage, and like 8k Hammer damage, with 125 FCR. A mage is an amazing PVPer in GM duels, since you won't be sorbed, although in pub games chances are you will be sorbed. But you still have hammers. FOH gives you a ranged attack, while hammers give you an up close attack. Basically, if they aren't sorbing you, they will be forced to go near you, but hammers will stop them there.

IMO they are egually good chracters to choose from, and no one is better. A basic mage setup would be:

Helm: Griffons (20 FCR)
Neck: Rare/Crafted Pally neck with 2skills/stats or a Maras if you can't afford
Shield: 45 Base res pally spirit. /w 35% FCR (55 FHR)
Weapon: Hoto (40% FCR)
Rings: Soj's,BKs' Anything really, i would suggest a raven for CBF, and SOj or BK for skill.
Belt: Arach (20 FCR)
Gloves: Trangs (20 FCR)
Boots: Treks (20 FHR) or Spurs.
Armor: Enigma

Torch/Anni : 8x PComb /w life, 1x PCOMB /w 12 FHR(hits 86% BReak Point) 20 lifer/Res Scs.

hits 125 FCR/86% FHR - MAYBE COA in stash for DR, and 1x FCR ring for switch.

Stash: res/sorb stuffs.

Libby:

Helm: 2xbered COA (30 FHR)
Ammy: Rare/Crafted Pally neck with 2skills/stats or a Maras if you can't afford
Weapon: GRIEF PB or Zerk (PB will smite with better Speed)
Armor: Enigma
Shield: 45 Base res pally spirit. /w 35% FCR (55 FHR)
Ring: Ravens/ Rare rings/Anything really.
Boots: Treks(20 FHR)
Gloves: Trangs(20 FCR)
Belt: Arach (20 FCR)

The charms for a libby have 2 options, 1 for Damage, 1 for Massive Res. Without the Pcombs, you will still do a decent amount of damage.

Torch/Anni 9x PComb lifers/ 10x 20/5 Sc - more damage, less res Or torch/anni 37x 20/5's or 20/11's (fire/cold/light) - More res, less damage

Stash: Hoto/FCR ring for 125 FCR Setup. Res/Sorb stuffs.
