PC to Stereo
#1
yes i know theres a thread like this but not like im asking..

First i want to know if they make a 1/8" to RCA cable adapter and secondly can i connect that to my stereo without having to use an amplifier of some sort??

My radio is fairly new Sony about a 2003 model and has a game input and is rated at 400watts. so would i need an amplifier of could my computer push it?

yes. 1/8 to RCA is cheap and available at radio shack or whatever. i'm using that set up right now (pc to stereo) and my stereo acts as an amplifier to power the speakers. i'm guessing your stereo will do the same if it's recent.

Most newer computes have an optical or coaxial audio output anyway. You get surround sound with one cable. Its the way to go. Its how my computer in my studio is set up.
