It's pretty "Meh" I'd say.
1) I'm not sure about this, but I thought that RAM sticks have to be of equal RAM? Or is that only when you have 4 or more slots? I.e., you cannot have 512 and 1GB, they need to be either 2x512 or 2x1024.
2) Harddrives, why so many? Those things are pretty cheap nowadays, just get yourself like 3x400GB. Not expensive.
3) Processor = crap. Not sure about mobo.

Which coolers are you using? Just yesterday, I got myself 2 new coolers, both by Zalman and boy, can I feel the difference.
This bad boy for my CPU:

And this one for my gfx card:

Oh and I also bought a sound card yesterday. I had been using the one on my motherboard for like 3 years. If you have expensive speakers / headphones, it's always a good idea to buy a decent sound card. They are not expensive and you can really feel the difference.

RAM can be different sizes they just need to be the same speed, also if you're running dual channel you'd want the same size on the same channel.

it seems that the 1k mb for the ram is not a fluke. another review on newegg reported a similar problem as yours.

for me i would definitely get a new mobo. you can keep the same cpu, but you really need to get a mobo with pci express and more ram slots. dd2 ram is really cheap nowadays. with the three hard drives.. are you raiding them?

If he buys a new mobo it'll probably be a different pin configuration than his current board. I you're using an older board and CPU make sure if you upgrade you get the same pin...however if you're upgrading your mobo might be a good idea to get a new proc and just build a new system. If you can't afford a new system then save up and do it right.

775 is like the socket of yester-millenium.
Next step would probably be to buy a new CPU + Motherboard. As long as you have a good motherboard, you can just keep upgrading as you get more funds.

What's your video card?

A suggestion for the next PC you buy/create. Don't use a Foxconn mobo. i had a 661MX pro. I'm not going back to foxconn after that.

Very good budget pc ic. I dunno what parts u want to upgrade, my suggestion is its pretty decent.

If u wanted to upgrade:
Your celeron is single-core? maybe u could upgrde to a core 2 duo

FX 5500 are still good cards for games bought back in 06/07. newer games might have low fps rates. my 8600gt can run cod4 but if your card cant, well u might want to stick to the older games.

hardrives: not a upgrade but dont want to cause overheating but your fans can take care of the job

Overall, I c no upgrading needed and if u wanted to upgrade, it would be because of the newer games. but if your not interested, slick system.
