Another bug has once again popped up on World of Warcraft's Public Test Realm and has recently been plaguing the community, in particular the Rogue-playing half. Several posters on the WoW forums noted a bug occurring with one of the "bread and butter" skills available to high-level Rogues.
Poster Somedank first noticed the bug related to the Rogue's Shiv ability and opened a new thread on the forums. He posted an image of the combat log he took while using the skill and complained about the normally unavoidable skill suddenly missing its target. This led him and several others to believe this was another oversight made by the developers regarding the skill.
It took a while for Blizzard to get back on this issue, but blue poster Hortus was there to confirm the existence of this bug. He was quoted having said this:
I've spoken with the devs and Shiv not being missed or dodged is a bug and was never intended. The changes to the combat log revealed some problems with how this spell is coded and it is being worked on.
While it's a rather normal occurrence to find bugs like this on WoW's PTR, it's still a small blessing for players to find the time and note them down for the developers to correct. This would definitely avoid any unwanted complaints on the live version of the game should a slip up like this get past the PTR stage.
