Death Knight!

Ok en light of the new information about WotLK Fuggle posted I'd like to start a debate about the Death Knight.

Is it to easy to enable the Death Knight? Or should there be some sort of special achievement needed to "unlock" the character?

I assume by it being attainable with a lvl 55 char it'll be pretty easy. I'm not liking the way things are turning out for my priest though, melee are already a pain to kill in arena or solo, now one's Anti-Magic?

I just think that by allowing anyobody who can get to level 55 to play the death knight is going to create a huge class imbalance in the PvE world, not only arenas.

and about the priests, after playing a rogue and feral druid to 2000 last season and starting over again this season... I HATE YOU GUYS!!!

I'm shadow, I'm not one of those unkillable insta-2k Disc priests. Besides with all these tanks around I'll be able to go holy at 80 and just gear the fuck outta myself cause every group will need me. Too bad it'll prolly end up as like 3 DK's dps'n 1 DK tanking and then me healing.

ROGUE FTW, I am sure there will be balance or a blizz like nerfing patch, I see the magic resist thing as awesome considering that you caster bullshiterz don't struggle in arena for dmg where as me can dmg the warrior because he got to much armour.

That skill description is hardly a basis for whining at this time. It all depends on how they implement it, how it scales, etc.

I don't know if you guys remember, but ferals were heavily nerfed in early TBC, as time progressed and ferals started lagging behind more and more, it was concluded that the nerf was excessive. Give it a couple of months for people to l2p and l2adapt and then we can start whining.

well with the new hunter buff coming out feral druids and even resto druids are now useless in arenas because of the instant fear beast shit.

No you are wrong. This will be a major nerf for Ferals, but restos will be as strong as ever.

not true, what does a resto do when they get a melee class on them? they shift form and run away so they dont get torn up, good hunters will use that opportunity to fear them.

A major part of playing resto arena is also shifting at the right time, either into bear form to stun, immobilize or to get away from a certain person so you can stay alive longer

Probally whats going to happen is that shield is gunna nerfed to FUCK or Warriors and rouges will just OBLITERATE them, Just and IMHO on that spell.

Yeah, but think of it this way:
1) Druids are not viable in 5on5, so we'll be as shit as ever.
2) What's the best partner for a Hunter is 2on2? That's right, a Druid (yes, I know that Priest is also viable, but Druid is way better). Hunter Druid teams will become more common, but all other Druid teams will be as represented as ever, yet Hunters are the single least represented class in 2on2.
3) 3on3 is dominated by RMP (around 27% of all 2.2k rated teams worldwide are RMP). However, this is going into a decline as melee is getting stronger with each season, Warrior + Resto Shaman + Retardin, or Warrior + Rogue + Druid, etc. Hunter is a clothkiller, which double melee can do equally well. There still is no place for Hunters in 3on3, even with the Scare Beast change, I suspect that their population will continue to decline in every bracket, excpet for maybe 2on2.

Ferals of course got an unwarranted across the board nerf.
